Window not covered under Warranty?
DO NOT BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM BOB BAKER!!! Salespeople lie and the service sucks!!!
To everyone, please read and circulate: My dad wanted me to circulate a message against a company, especially to those in San Diego. My dad has a Tundra truck that he bought brand new at Bob Baker's Toyota lot in Lemon Grove. The guy talked him into getting the supreme warranty package that will cover everything. Now, a plastic clip that holds the driver's window in the track broke, the car only has about 17, 000 miles on it. I checked out the window and got it to hold up so it is closed and not easy to steal. A couple days ago we took the truck in to Toyota because the sales guy said the warranty will cover everything. We got a call back and they said they won't cover it because the piece is part of the window and the window is not covered. So now they are making us pay more than $200 for the piece because it is attach to the window, but we don't really need the whole window. Then they also wanted to charge an extra $200 to put it in, which takes about 30 mins or less for me and I'm not even a professional. So we told them that we will just get the part and fix it ourselves. When we went to pick up the truck the window was down, so my dad got pissed off and asked why they didn't leave the window up. They said they were afraid they might break something, these guys are supposed to be professionals and certified on Toyotas and they don't know how to get the window up, I was able to do it in 5 mins. When we got home I was starting to pull the door panel off and 1 screw cover, and 2 side clips were missing, and a relay in the panel was just dangling. My dad called them up and they said the pieces were already missing but I was the last one to check it out and I knew they were there when we dropped it off. Also, they said the relay is an aftermarket part so they don't touch it but my dad bought the truck off them and he had nothing added so if it is aftermarket then the Toyota mechanics put it in. We are still fighting them over these pieces that probably cost Toyota a couple dollars total but still they won't give us the pieces. So stay away from Bob Baker lots or be aware of all the BS you will deal with if you ask them to fix something.

rusted gas tank
i have a 2002 tunda which i purchased new. after my check engine light came on, the garage told me that i had a leak in the fuel tank system, probably a gasket or hose. after the tank was removed, it was found to be the gas tank was rusted to the point that it was non -repairable. i was told the truck was not safe to drive anymore. there was a recall regarding tank support straps rusting but toyota would not cover the cost of tank replacement, which was quoted at $1200. toyotas may run good, but they are rust buckets which do not hold up well.
