I bought a Toyota Vios two years ago. So far, I do not face any major issues with my car. Till recently, my car windows fogging up whenever it’s raining outside. At first, I thought it has something to do with the differential pressure between inside and outside the car. Didn't realize it’s an issue till I saw another Vios parked next to me, its windows were not fogged up at all! Whenever I drive during rainy days, my windows slowly fogged up from the inside, I have no choice but to turn the air-cond level to the max.! And the worst part is, I have to stop my car by the road side, wipe the windscreen myself! So, I drove myself to one of the Toyota Service Centers. The mechanics ran some tests on the tinted windows, tested the pressure, etc. The results came out. It has nothing to do with tinted windows. It’s the pressure in the car itself. This mechanical advisor raised a report and required me to snap some photos as attachment for it. Few days later, went back to the same guy, pass him the photos, then he told me the bad news. He said there are quite a number of cases (i.e. same scenario) reported to the Toyota HQ, unfortunately, none of the reports came back with a positive solution. They blamed it on the tinted materials!!!
If this is so, how is that my other families’ cars are unaffected? (A new version of Honda City and an 11 years old Proton Wira which is using the same tinted materials as my Toyota Vios)
