I RECENTLY SENT MY MANUSCRIPT TO TRAFFORD.I PAID FOR BASIC EDITING.I WAS MAKING WEEKLY PAYMENTS.THEY WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE MANUSCRIPT UNTILL ALL PAYMENT WAS DONE. I PAID FOR BASIC EDITING.NOW THEY TELL ME I NEED CONTENT EDITING WHICH IS OVER $300.00 .NOW THAT IS PAID FOR. THEY'RE SAYING I NEED CONTENT EDITING PLUS WHICE IS $700.00 MORE.I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THE MANUSCRIPT FIRST AND THAN QUOTED ME A ONE TIME PRICE. THIS IS NOT A COMPANY I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.THIS COMPANY WILL NOT WORK ON YOUR MANUSCRIPT UNTIL THEY RECEIEVED ALL PAYMENTS.IT SEEN ONCE I PAY OFF FOR ONE SERVICE THEY TELL ME I NEED ANOTHER. I ASK FOR MY MONEY BACK.THEY SAID NO REFUNDS.I DID NOT READ THIS IN THEIR CONTRACTS.I FEEL LIKE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM.

I simply cannot get anyone to respond to my e-mails on a book I am publishing with the company
I simply cannot get anyone to respond to my e-mails on a book I am publishing with the company. The company says my book has already gone on sale, though they are obligated to provide me with a sizeable number of free books for my book launch – they have not and are not responding to e-mails. Where should I appeal? I needed to have those books so that I can launch my book before year 2009 ends.

Trafford has great sales people and terrible ethics
Trafford has great sales people and terrible ethics. Upon contracting with them for my book of 120 pages, I was quoted an author price of $6.53 and a retail price of $13.74. I have this in writing. My book came to 112 pages – 8 pages less than quoted and they placed the author price at $10.49 and the retail price at $14.99.
Originally they placed it at $15.99 – but I disputed it. For now – they are refusing to honor their original message. My books have not gone to print, thank goodness. So I am trying to cancel the contract. I simply can’t trust them, Even if they should decide to honor their words.

Not honoring their commitment
I published a book with Trafford under their "Webblazer" program that was offered at a considerable discount. Everything was pretty good up until proof reading time: They have a very sloppy printer. When I sent in my list of changes, it came back with even more needed! Whole paragraphs were suddenly in the font of different point size. Some of the changes I asked for were so botched that they had to be redone. Now that I've accepted the book - there are a dozen or so typos still in it - they are not honoring the final part of our deal. I am supposed to have a number of paperbacks sent to me, and they haven't been. They no longer answer my emails. There are better publishers than Trafford out there.

No royalties yet book is being sold
In Ontario, 2005... paid over $3, 000 to have book published with a promise of marketing the book. I received some books and then paid for more. I wrote and phoned re: royalties as I saw the book advertised but
never received any royalties as promised from
Trafford. They had a bank account for us ...once
in Ontario some money was deposited 4 years ago,
my book is advertised all over but no royalties
have come in. A year ago they said I had been
paid...no money in the account and no cheque
from them. Then I heard they had shut down
due to scams and complaints.
WHAT CAN I DO? Thank you!

Company does not deliver service
Trafford was acquired by Author Solutions on April 2009. I signed a contract with Trafford December 2008 and paid for it.
Since March they have my "PRINT READY" book with all the files for the cover and webpage. I have not received the pysical proof until today (July 6) and the communication is dead! They do not react to phone calls and messages. I can only advise:
DO NOT USE TRAFFORD!!!
