I have moved over 15 times in my lifetime and this was the most unorganized, nightmarish move I have ever experienced.

I contracted with them (Keith was the representative I dealt with) on Aug 23 for a full pack and moving of my household, they were scheduled to come on Aug 26 with a back up date of Aug 27. The quote I was given was $2499.

Was told I would receive a phone call on Aug 25 on when they would be coming, I ended up having to call at 5:10pm and was told that they would either come the afternoon of Aug 26 or on Aug 27.

They finally showed up at approximately 3pm on Aug 27, looked around my house and said that it would be much more expensive than the quote I received. The quote I was given was for 5250 lbs, they said that I had at least twice that much in lbs and it would be cheaper for me if they used cubic ft. instead. I was somewhat alarmed that they came in a Budget rental truck with brand new dollies.

They packed that day and said they would return the next day to load the truck and put my items in storage. I have never had any mover just use huge wardrobe boxes and pretty much just scoop up my household items and put them in boxes with none of the white packing paper or anything. I asked several times if my items were going to be safe the way they were packing them, they assured me that it would be.

They did return the next day and kept saying that everything was not going to fit on the truck, so they had to go drop off what was loaded on the truck at the storage unit that they rented and come back to get the rest. Throughout the 2 days I spent with them they kept asking if particular items would fit in my car, as well as ask if I was sure I really wanted to move particular items, such as my entertainment center, etc. They said if they moved the entertainment center, it cost $1000 more or if we take this table apart, it will never go back together the same way again. They also said that the storage unit would only hold a few more of my items. (My shipment was going into storage for 30 days). It was completely ridiculous being asked which items I would rather move and which ones were ok to just leave at the house that I was selling.

They knew before they came that they were packing and moving the items from a 4 bedroom house, I also completed a itemized list of the furniture, etc. that I had.

The final bill was $5711.10. The move was from Jacksonville FL to Hendersonville NC.
