I purchased Travel Guard CDW policy on June 7, 2011 for $318.40 plus $15.00 transaction fee to cover the CDW on the Europcar I was renting in Ireland. On July 14, 2011. I was in the process of signing the paper work for the car and they advised me that they did not accept the Travel Guard policy and if I did not take their CDW, I would have to give them a deposit of 10, 000 euros and if anything happen to the car, I would have to pay them the cost and then file a claim with Travel Guard. This was totally unacceptable, therefore I covered the CDW under a World Mastercard. In addition, I was advised that for the class car I was renting the Travel Guard policy with a $25, 000 limit would not cover the cost of a total loss, that would run approximately 30, 000 euro.
I am requesting that the full cost of the Travel Guard CDW policy and the transaction fee should be returned.
