Refund not provided
My experience with Travelocity is as pathetic as other people have mentioned.
I was booked a ticket to travel in Februaury 2010, and cancelled it after one week and 3 days before the travel. The Customer Care executive told that it would take 2-5 working days to refund my money. But now even March 2010 is over till now I haven't received it.
The best thing is calling the customer care, the Toll Free Number is never available, if you call on the toll number in India, first it'll charge you the STD fare, you have to wait for exactly 19.05 minutes, then the call will be automatically disconnected, that too without connecting to any of the Customer Care executives. For me this happened umpteen times. One day I was lucky my call was received, this Guy tells that your refund was processed last month itself you ask the Bank guys, when I ask Bank people they tell no such money is sent back. Again when I try to connect daily my call goes unattended and I have to pay for the call charges. My phone bill is now more than the refund expected. These Travelocity guys are a total waste.

Did not back up guarantee
I will never use travelocity again. The airline canceled my scheduled flight. It took 7 hours to reach a human at travelocity. I was notified about 3 hours before my flight that it was canceled. I tried to reach travelocity to see if I could be out on the same airline's next flight, which was scheduled an hour after my canceled flight. The best travelocity could do was give me a flight the next afternoon, so I ended up missing 2 days of vacation. The guarantee you see on TV is just BS. They did not offer to refund even though my stay was 1 less night. They do not care.

$20 discount was offered, never sent
PAGE 2 unless I had the proper code, which I should have received before ordering the tickets. I then asked him why the $20 was offered to me AFTER I had paid for my tickets. He then suggested I contact you at this e-mail address.
Yes I'm aware that this is a minor annoyance, but if you do respond with a pre-written form letter, I will know that I had justification for hesitating to trust the efficiency of your company's customer service.
Question 1: How long must one wait when clicking on a $20 discount offer before you deliver it?
Question 2: After I purchased my tickets, why did you offer me the $20 discount again, and then leave the screen blank? Patti Handley...1411 E. Fairmont...Fresno, CA 93704...phone [email protected]

Do not use this company
Yesterday I made for my family reservations for a roundtrip flight to Madrid out of JFK, and after few hours they cancelled my trip, so I called and they changed the return day to a day earlier. After a few hours I called to ask about the trip, and they told me that they have to change to higher price. I agreed to $125.00 dollar price increase, and they confirmed my ticket. After few hours they called me again to inform me that the price will be much higher if I want to fly. They mislead people, and try to sell out tickets according who is going to pay more.
Do not use this company!!!

Price guarantee rip off
Travelocity does not honor reduced prices found on their own website. I booked with them for flight and hotel to Nassau. They guarantee a refund if you find a lower price.
I found a lower price of $395.00 on their website and they will not honor it. Their rules for the guarantee state they do not accept screen shots as proof of a lower price then after a month has passed they ask for a screen shot which by that time is impossible to get. I went back and forth with their non existant customer service dept to try and resolve the problem. They at the time of booking do not give you a way to prove they showed a lower price.

Did not honor e-ticketed reservation
I had booked two reservations through travelocity. One for travel from Rome to Palermo and a return from Catania to Rome. I had recieved a email back from travelocity stating Thank you:Reservation Confirmation... The email sated that it was an eticket, so no paper ticket would be sent. In addition to flight information it gavew me a boarding pass ..reference code for online or airport checkin. A day later, I recieved another email asking me to contact tTravelocity. When I spoke to their agent located in India, he explained to me that they had trouble printing tickets from the Airline Carrier Blue Panorama Air, and that I should consider the reservations cancelled. They could book me on a different airline that would cost about $200 more. I felt thatTravelocity should pay the differance in flight costs as I has an eticket and a letter of confirmation. The Agent explained that it was not an eticket even though it said so. I asked to speak to the supervisor and got the same story. I then asked to speak to a US agent. I eventually spoke to an agent in Pennsylvania who likewise told me thatTravelocity would do nothing for me and I had no reservations... I receives no satisfactory explaination as to why 1. They sent a confirmation. 2. The confirmnation said it was an eticket 3. They would offer tickets on their website that they in fact could not honor!!! I was on the phone with travelocity for longer then the flight would have taken... (they keep putting you on hold and transfer calls) and they proved themselves to be disreputable. So long Sicily, Goodbyetravelocity... I will never use them again..

absurd refund policy
While traveling in Viginia, I mistakenly booked a hotel online in Richmond, rather than Roanoke, Virginia, I immediately realized my error. I called Travelocity within 2 minutes to cancel, or transfer the reservation. The man I spoke to refused to help me, and refused to let me speak to a superior. Instead, he kept me on hold until my cell phone battery wore out. Follow up emails and phone calls were met with more robotic answers--at no point was I ever spoken to as a real human being.
I have used Travelocity many times in the past, but never had to deal with customer service. As their product is no different from any other online travel site, and the prices are almost always identical among their competitors, all we have to differentiate one from the other is service. Travelocity did unimaginably poorly in this regard, so I would recommend using any other service over them. I am hugely disappointed.

Changing of deals by the minute
I went under deals, found my dates of flight travel, picked my seats and submitted. The next screen said the deal has changed. I did this at least a second time and guess what, they did the bait and switch thing again.
I'll never use that site again.

refund
Judging from my experience, this is how they call their customer service.
- Make sure not to refund, with whatever a reason they can provide.
- Organize their customers' files to mess up all the cases.
- Confuse their customer with the information like who's the manager and who's the supervisor.
- There's no such thing as an individual case. Find a category their customer's mail belongs to, and make the same reponse whatever the occasion.
- Make their customers get sick of complaining, so as to never use Travelocity again.

Bait and Awitch
I was looking to book a vacation for my family and I so I started searching Travel Agencies. Afetr a while I went to Travelocities web site and entered the dates I wanted to travel anytime in June or July. I entered the length of cruise I wanted 7-10 days and the number, ages of people I would be traveling with, and the area I'd like to cruise (Carribean). The search returned a page that showed all the information I entered and two choices. One choice was around 800 dollars and the other was around 450 on a different ship. I was excited by the opportunity to book an affordable cruise so I called immediately to book the 450 dollar cruise to find that the price was not available on the dates I wanted to travel and that my price was to be around 1500 dollars a person. I will never book with Travelocity ever again.
