On August 9, 2009, I employed Treasure Coast Moving & Storage. One week before this move, I received an estimate from sales person, Mark Stromak, who assured me my furniture would be handled by professional movers. Having incurred personal and medical problems, I was on a very limited budget, and Mark was made aware of my situation. So when he told me that my furniture would be handled with care by professional movers, I didn't feel the need to purchase additional, and expensive, insurance. Well I was very very wrong. To make a long and stressful story short, the careless acts of the movers literally cost me thousands of dollars. My $2000 tv was damaged beyond repair with a huge scratch gong right down the middle. Shortly after the damage, the tv stopped working altogehter. I had to pay the movers $900 for the move despite my damaged tv. Can you imagine? Paying these people $900 for breaking my $2000 tv. In addition my leather couches were ripped and knobs broke off my washer and dryer. I only asked that I be compensated for the tv as the other items I was able to repair or replace. I purchased a new tv for $700, so I thought maybe Treasure Coast Moving & Storage would pay at least half. Wrong! I assumed Treasure Coast Movers and Storage would make things right based on what Mark Stromak initially told me, but they didn't. Instead, I received a check for $30 - that's it! Please do not use Treasure Coast Moving and Storage. They are very uncaring and unprofessional. I hope this story saves at least one person from the misery I've been through with this company.
