I have seen several complaints made about the closed Tribute Gold Mastercard accounts by First Delaware Bank. Well now I have a complaint to make too. 2 days ago I've received a letter, stating that my Tribute Gold Master account has been closed and to cease all usage of the card, also by October 24, 2009 a new account would be installed so I could pay off the balance remaining on my card. I had that card for a couple of years now and despite the high intrest rate it helped me to boost my damaged credit rating. My wife and I used that card when we went on vacation and allways paid it off quickly by sending in more then the minimum payment (i.e.$200-300). At this point I owe roughly $ 1.700 of the $ 2.700 limit, where we've used the card this year again. I have called the number which was on the letter and I've asked for a reason why the account has been closed and I have been told, that all Tribute Gold Master card accounts had been closed and nothing else, no expalaination as to why and the reasons. Now I am ticked off because it affected my FICO score. Here I'm trying after rough times to get my credit reestablished and here whamm. It feels like you do one step ahead and you get 5 steps thrown back.

I would like to propose, that all the customers here get together and in solidarity file a class action law suit against unfair practices used by First Bank of Delaware. Please people contact me here on this site and hopefully we can band together.

I have always paid my credit card account on time, then someone charged something to my account, it was not me, they were to investigate and put the money back on my account, well they did put the money back. I always check online to see what I have left before I use my card. it said I had so much money, x amount so I used my card, then I get a letter saying that they put too much money back on my card, and they hope this is not an inconvenience, ha ha., made me over the limit, so I continued to make my payments at least the minimum amount due, most of the time more .now I receive a letter that if I make $ 48.00 dollars a month payments that they will not charge interest or over the limit fees for 4 months, so I do this for 2 months, then I get a postcard saying that I am over the limit, they put the annual fee on which made me about 100 over the limit and then revoked my credit, what a scam, for about 2 years I made all payments on time. then this.

I was really trying to improve my credit, whats the point? I think all credit cards for people with bad or no credit are to keep you with bad credit!
