I have had an identical experience to the complaint filed by Mary Hallowell. TRI*Titan doubled the 2-for- 1 offer I had requested on Sunday, April 19th via their automated phone ordering system. I attempted to cancel the order the next morning, once I received their e-mail confirmation of the exhorbitant cost (including upgrade) of $108.01. I returned all 4 peelers unopened, but have received only a refund of the cost of the base peeler plus tax (= $31.78). They haven't refunded the cost of the upgrades, nor the shipping costs, even though it was their error which caused me to try to cancel the complete order.

Note that during their automated order entry system, they try to get you to pay for expedited processing so you don't have to wait 6 weeks for delivery. However, they couldn't cancel my order within 15 hours of it's being placed (on A Sunday night), and the items arrived within 10 days without having paid for expedited processing. Just another way of them increasing their revenues in a deceitful manner!

I have complained to them, and they have agreed that they should have refunded the cost of the upgrade, but haven't done so yet (3 weeks later). They refuse to refund any of the shipping costs even though their TV commercials and automated order placement system don't tell you of their "company policy" to refuse to refund shipping costs (especially when their error caused them to ship me double what I ordered).

I have protested to my credit card company, and am filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection. It's obvious that TRI*TITAN Peeler is deliberately doubling some orders, and collecting exhorbitant processing/ shipping costs when you return the unordered items. Needless to say, I will never do business with them again.
