Automobile
My name is Kimberly and I bought a 2005 Nissan Sentra in October 16, 2004. After I had the car just 3 months my engine light came on and I took the car immediately back to Trophy Nissan where we purchased the vehicle that was on Febuary 9, 2005 and all they did is check the car and tightened my gas cap and reset the light. Well on Febuary 14, 2005 the engine light came back on and I took it back to Trophy Nissan and they checked it out again and the report says they found cylinder 3 misfire three times ago they said engine is running fine and they sent me on my way they didn't do anything at this time. Febuary 17, 2005 the engine light once again came on and once again I returned directly back to Nissan. They checked it over again where they found the presence of coolant leakiung into the head gasket. Before the cars first oil change only 3, 677 miles on the car and they are having to go into my motor to fix this. Ok to my knowledge they did not send the head in to check to see if it was warped. I also had some other issues with the car the electric fuel pump went out. Now its 2011 and my engine light came on around the 1st of May. First I take it to an auto store to verify the code and they said it was the Intake Valve Timing Control Solinoid so I drove the car over to Trophy Nissan for them to check it out and yes that was what was wrong with the car or so they said. Ok I get a call from the a day or so later and they proceed to tell me that I have a crack in my Head Gasket ok I immediately contact the Consumer Affairs at Nissan to file a complaint because I believe this issue is from the original issue I had from the beginning and they approved to take $500.00 off the 1, 351.77 that they quoted me to fix that problem. A few days later I get another call from the service department at Trophy Nissan and they tell me not only do I have a cracked Head Gasket they had sent the head off to be checked to see if it was warped and in fact it was warped and the block also is warped and has a crack it in. I believe that this problems began back when the presence of coolant was in the head gasket and leaked down onto the head and caused it to warp and caused the block to crack and the head to warp. So now I need a new engine $4, 500 to replace it. Now the Consumer Affairs person is trying to get me some help and frankly they are not wanting to help us. I have researched these cars even on their own Consumer Affairs page where other customer have had similiar or the same issues that I am experiences at this time. I also know that the 2005 Nissan Sentra is ranked the worst year model in this particular car. What I would like to see done in this situation is for Nissan to take responsibility that this car came from the manufacturer with a major defect with the head and block problems the leaking of coolant into the engine which resulted in me now needed a new engine. I want this replaced because its their vehicle and it came to us off the showroom floor with a major defect. I do know that the Nissan Corporation is aware of these issues concerning these Sentras and they refuse to help their customers. Which leads me to believe its only about lining their pockets with money and the heck with the customers who by their products and pay hundreds of dollars holding the bag. I need help now will you give it to me.

BAD customer service
Well..Where do I begin? A few weeks ago I started searching for a used Nissan Altima..basically my dream car. I saw a red 2006 Altima on trophy Nissans website for $8, 197, and it had around 67k miles on it. We called and they invited us to come on in to see it. Upon arriving(from Grand prairie which is a good 35 minutes)we were showed the vehicle. It had hail damage and a spot where the previous owner had scraped a pole. We went to the office to negotiate..and about 15 minutes later we were told it had been sold last night.
They instantly offered us another 2006 Altima, which had 30k miles on it for 13k. We tried to get them to go down, because we honestly couldnt afford that much..we offered 11, 500k but they wouldn't budge. Finally he came down to 1295k. We walked out.
That night the Salesman called us because he had found another 2006 Altima with 38k miles that he could sell us for 11, 500k. We asked him several times, including calling him the next morning. He confirmed the price and said it was ready. We told him that we were going to come in for it later that afternoon.
Meanwhile, We went around to several banks online trying to get approved for a car loan for that amount. In this tough more restrictive economy we got declined. Finally we called State farm, who we have our home and car insurance with, they went above and beyond and got us a loan. We traveled 40 Minutes to sign the loan docs and get the check.
Started out to trophy Nissan(another 35 min drive). When we got there, we went to the salesmans office and he came out to meet us. He informed us that the original red Altima had not been sold and we could test it out. We got in the car and waited for him to get the keys. While waiting another salesman came out and informed us he had already sold that car!
So we went to see the 2006 Altima for 11, 500k that he had called us about. He couldn't find the key and said he would have to have one made. Went to see the car...full of scrapes..not checked, Not inspected. Not ready as he had said.
We went back in the office and then they had Me a test drive yet ANOTHER Altima(which had 90k miles)..for 10k! We said no way, then they dropped to 9500k. We still said no.
We asked about the 11, 500k Altima(The one we had come for), check in hand. The manger came in and informed us that he couldn't let that one go for more then 13k! He finally came down to 12k. We asked him what had happened to that price the salesman quoted us several times. He stated it was mistake. Uh yeah sure, whatever.
He would not honor the quote, even in the good name of customer service. After we explained that we had taken off early from work and found a babysitter for our two small sons BOTH days..still no budging. We ended up walking out very upset, having spent about 2 hours there the day before and 3 hours this time. All the while being given the run around, vehicles were switched around on us several times!
This is the worst experience I've had trying to buy a car. They have basically no customer Service.

Pre Owned Sales
inquired about 2 preowned Nissan Titans through their website. A salesman responded and said the trucks were available (this was on Saturday). I took off work to go in on Monday. I checked the website on Monday morning, before I drove the 50 miles to the dealership, and the trucks were still listed on the website. Ok so I get there, the salesperson I spoke to initially was not there so I had to speak to someone else. As soon as I get there I don't see either of the trucks. They do some checking and tell me the trucks were sold on Saturday. I got really pissed and told them about the trucks still being on the website that morning and that I drove an hour to get there. They give me the run around and say they may have some similar trucks. After waiting for about 20 minutes they pull out a truck that it not even close to what the other were but said they would sell it for the same price. It was a different color, had 15K more miles, was the top of the line model and was 4x4. So I drive it and the suspension sqeaks evertime it went over a bump and one of the back doors would not open. So I tell them to see what kind of deal the can make on it. The come back with a price that is $8, 000 more than what the other trucks were listed as and offered me $4, 000 less than what the original salesman told me they could give me. I blew up and got extremely pissed. The salesman said the prices listed on their website did not include a $2, 000 "reconditioning fee" and a $1, 000 "Nissan certification" fee. I told them I have never heard of anything like that before ( I have bought around 10 cars/trucks in my life). Plus that has to fall under some sort of false advertisement or something. That would immediately add on $3, 000 to any car/truck listed on their website. I was furious. My wife had to settle me down. Then the salesman dissapeared and a "Sales Manager" came out being all nice and giving me the runaround saying they had a truck that just came in on Saturday and it was in service having new tires put on it. So we sat there for 30 minutes waiting for them to bring it out. When they finally did. The truck looked like someone had driven it through the forest. It was covered in scratches and the inside looked like a family had been living in it. I didn't even drive it. I told them they would have to repaint the whole truck for me to buy. I told them to just give me the keys to my car and then I left. That was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had at a Dealership. It was a complet waste of 2 hours of my life. I would not go back if they called me and told me they would give me a truck.

Deceptive sales
I recently went into Trophy Nissan in response to an advertisement claiming a 98% approval rate and the fact that they have in-house financing. Upon credit check, I was denied a loan, which is strange because I don't have top notch credit but I have paid off two previous loans from other dealerships and have an active acount in good standing so I would think that I would be in the 98%? Anyway, after finding out that I would not qualify unless I put down a BIG $2100 down payment or have a co-signer on the deal, I left unhappy. Much to my surprise they called me back in the very next day claiming that they had received some sort of special funding for special finiancing. So I went back wanting to look at cars but the sales rep wanted me to come inside for some paperwork and did not want to show me any cars until I could get an approval. I told him that I had already been through all that and that according to their standards, I am already approved. I was totally surprised when this time they asked for $4200 down. Go figure! When I called in to complain, I talked to Skylar and I guess it would be best to say that he only made me fell worse and claims that they not only do not have inhouse financing, butthey do not advertise it, either???? I tried to forward this to their website:
[[[Please forward this link to Skylar as he claims to be concerned with customer satisfaction:
http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/trophy-nissan-a8042.html
This is a good start!]]]
But guess what, you get an error message every time you hit send!
BUYER BEWARE! I only wish I would have cheked this website first!
The only good thing that came of this is that it allowed me to go back to Auto City for another car and they were great!!!

None return of check!
I bought a car from Trophy Nissan only to have them call me and tell me the vin. # Was incorrect and needed to come by and let them get correct number. I had given them a 3000.00 voucher and a 500.oo check on that car. When I arrived a dealer they informed me that bank would not finance that car for some reason. So they said I had to take another car one they had picked for me... I was very upset with this. The car I got was not what I wanted... But when I asked for my old car back they said it was already gone... So I took the other car and and asked for my check back. In all the commotion they didn't give me my check... I called back and they assured me that it had been mailed. When I didn't receive my check I called my bank and stopped payment on it. About a month later I received a call from Telacheck and they informed me that Trophy Nissan had cashed my check and they wanted their money... At that I refused and they have been calling my office and home phone threatening me with all kinds of things. I think this is wrong and should not be allowed... They whole experience with both have been unbearable and if I had to do it all over again I would never buy a thing from them... I still get calls from them wanting me to buy a car... What does that tell you. They were suppose to do some work to the car I got and have never set and appointment. So no that would not be where I would go if I had it to do all over again... I guess in short it is going to cost me a lawyer to get this straight... I still have the contract on the first car... Oh me...

Avoid Trophy Nissan at all cost!
I bought a repo'd truck from Trophy Nissan in Mesquite, TX. After taking possession of the truck 2 weeks later found out the bank that owned the repo some how needed the vehicle back but they lied about it. Don't trust Trophy. Avoid them at all cost! I'll see them in court.
