I worked for ADT Security and I told them I was a disabled veteran and they wanted me to walk to 100's of houses and knock doors, When I did the interview they told me "You use the Internet to get sales etc" I was never told I would be working 70 hours a week or more and I did not know I would have to knock so many doors. Well long story short I ended up going to the hospital after working there 3 months because if extreme leg and back pain due to walking so much and they never bothered to check on me or just out of common courtesy see how I was. The District Manager Patrick O Sullivan called me and I told him I was in E.R. and this guy had the nerve to ask me what my quotas where and if I was meeting them. They have no compassion for Disabled Employees. The doctor perscribed me hydrocodone so I was not able to drive. I sent them my paper work saying I would be back for the 13 th but I needed more time to see a specialist. I ask them was there another position I do like in office or human resources. Diane in human resources told me I did not tell them I was disabled I told her to check the application and surely she did and I checked it off. She told me that if I did not come back it would be job abandonment and I needed to resign. ADT is the worst company to work for. All they care about is numbers. They cheat the salesman out of there commissions they are as crooked as a roach leg. If you are a Manager there then you will make big money buy all the people on the bottom will be crushed with starving families. They have poor customer service . The have a system called Telemar and I was still getting calls from Customers after they I left the company because they did not want to give me another position.
