Tru Talent Scam
Tru Talent the one in Utah and Las Vegas is a scam company. I joined the company in march and they said I had talent and etc and then signed me up and said I have to pay a down payment of 150 and I said can u give me copies of the things I signed because i want a better chance to read them over. I then researched the company and I looked over the paperwork and I couldnt afford all that money every month. I called the company and told them I wanted to quit so they gave me the number for utah. The lady had played phone tag with me her name is carrie. Finally she called and said ok lets get you out and I said ok take me off of everything. Then I started receiving financial statements andI called right away the building in vegas first and said why am I receiving emails from your company when I quit. They said call the building up in utah. She wasnt in the office that day. So i called back vegas and I said Im not doing anything in your company no classes no head shots no emails nothing take me off. Awhile passed and I hadnt received anything and I started getting emails again for tru talent auditions so I called the utah building and said I thought I quit tru talent months ago. A man named eduardo was like you cant quit tru till u make the payment of 630 dollar and I said I didnt do anything with the company and quit months ago and he said no you didnt you cant quit till the 630 is paid for. Then I talk to Carrie who is like the main lady and she says you have to pay the 630 to quit the company and I say well I dont have 630 but can I pay you in payments and she says yes and I said will u stop adding on payments and she says yes so that day I paid 200 dollars. Then I looked for an email for a confirmation saying I paid and I never received one so I called the company and they give me a confirmation number like 1055 it didnt even sound believable. Then July 20th 2010 hits and I call to make another payment this time for 100 dollars and carrie says ok thanks and I said hold on can you tell me where am I in my balance and she says you owe 1622 and I said last week you told me I only owed 630 and she said yes that was just your late fee and I said if that was true then why last week you told me 630 and you never mentioned that amount. Then she said well you owe that and she started being rude with me and I said I guess I need to talk to an attorney. She said do whatever you need to do. Then I called back and I was put on hold for a very long time and I asked her for an email confirmation saying I paid and all the info of how much I owe. I havent received an email yet.

Scam Artist
This company uses misleading tactics, predatory lending, and does not deliver on it's products or services. I paid for "copyrights" and have not received copyright releases, or pictures, or website promised, or auditions promised. Nothing, but a debt to clear up, lost money, lost sleep, inconveinence, emotional distress, etc. DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM and Do not listen to one word they have to say.

Fraud and cheating
The only 'Tru Talent' that this 'agency' could possible pass on to the young, trusting and naive is how to scam people. They prey on the young.

Only the very young, trusting and totally unworldly would believe that a 'talent agent' would walk up to them in a Target Store (In the case I know personally know about, 'them' was one fairly tall average sized and average looking young teen and one short and fairly heavy average looking teen) and tell then that they were a 'natural' for model and acting.

First off all, how would this 'agent' know that they were acting material and what exactly is his definition of a modeling 'natural'.

Secondly, a reputable agency earns money 'for' their clients and doesn't fleece you as this 'agency' does. A couple thousand plus for 'acting and modeling' lessons that 'naturals' do not need since they were apparently already perfect enough for him to make a snap decision.

Third, $40. per picture for 15 god-awful pictures that were supposed to be posted on a 'web site' that never materialized (which, by the way, included the not too classic measurements of one of the girls who was 17) is a classic ripoff.

Stay clear, beware. This is 'agency' shady at best and completely illegal at worst. Law suits are being filed in the state of Utah.
