My freind and i went to work for this company after their 1 hr oriantation.We get a truck thats is the biggest piece of shit i ever drove.2006 columbia that when we got hadnt had a oil change in 70, 000 miles, the oil was like mud.everything was broken the headlights pointed to the sky and the adjusters were broke.we take it out on the first trip and we are pulling a 18, 000 lb load and doing 15 mph up small grades, write it up they say its the way we are driving it.You have got to be kidding me, 28 years and 3 million plus miles and i dont know how to drive their pos.well you will get payed % pay of the gross of the load but first they will deduct a 6% fuel surcharge off the gross when you come out of cali then pay you, Why the fuck do i have to pay their operating cost.they do not pay detention, layover, or any deadhead which by the way has been as much as 800 miles for our team. We where never late for any pick or delivery, we ran 7, 500 miles a week keep the truck clean, (oh ya they dont believe in washing their trucks or trailers) you want it clean you pay for it, and dont think your going to turn in a ticket on it they willl not pay it.The way they pay you is the the worst i have ever seen.You make a trip to the west coast drop that load then sit 2-3 days with no pay get your back haul deliver that bring the truck back to the yard turn in your paper work in then in 3-5 days your check might be ready, but dont you dare call the bitch vickie horton and ask her if your check is ready when she is done chewing your ass for asking were your money is her rude mouth will tell you to call back in a day or so.The topper of it all was my co driver had enough but had a wife that was employed so he Quit mine isnt so i had to find a job before i quit.I call vickie and told her he quit and that i would be going back out solo (and they do have solos) she says no i woulnt i dont need any solos so you are out of a job.so to them go fuck yourselves at storey trucking i will be sure and tell everybody i can about you and your great company.
