Cancelled Service
I prepaind TruGrenn service in 2010. I called Trugreen in November 2010 and tell them to cancel my service. They representative said ok and handed the phone off. However, the TruGreen worked appeared at my property in Jan and done some serive again without my permission. The company charged me for $50. I payed this service this time and forget about them. They came to my property again in Feb and done some service while I was not home (w/o my permission). They charged me $130 for unwanted service. I called they service phone number. The service representative told me that there is no a record of my previous cancelation. She also said that she will take care of it this time.
In April they called me again and said that I own them $130 for the service. I told them that I cancel this service back on Nov 2010 and another time in Feb 2011. They also said that there is no any record from previous conversations. I called thier manager, but Teresa (hope the spelling is correct), the Redmon area regional manager, does not want to talk at all. She is alsways busy. The was awesome!!! This company is making money of fooling their customers!
Finally, they offered to pay 50% of this price as a discount. Paying for what? For unwanted service, 6 months after the service was canceled?
They have voice recording system that track all conversation. When they say they there is no a record - this is pure BS. This is the way they are making money

scam
I am a former employee of TRUGREEN so please read about my personal experience on how they work. Trugreen is ran by a company named service master. With service master its all about sales and not customer satisfaction . They send the techs out with a high number they have to hit leaving them to do a poor quality treatment just to hit their goal. Some techs do what they call " GHOST TREATMENT " . Thats where they claim to treat the yard leaving the customer a bill and no service. Thats easy for them to do since most people aren't home when they claimed to do the work. I was even instructed to treat a yard where the house had been foreclosed on just to have some revenue for the day. What they would do is bill the previous home owner and turn them into collections if they didn't pay.! Many people cancel the service and when speaking to the sales team are assured no more treatments will be done. Now trugreen will send a tech out the next month and spray again, leaving a bill and turning you into collections if you don't pay reguardless of the cancellation . We also were told to spray in heavy rain and windy days. That is B.S. cause the treatment wont work !!! Its all about them being able to bill someone and thats it ! If you want lawn service thats great but just be careful on who you choose and make sure to be home so you can make sure the treatment was actually applied !

lawncare
My husband is deployed from Fort Hood so we decided to sign up for the Deployed Service Member program that Trugreen was offering Fort Hood families. They started mowing at the start of April, and my backyard has only been mowed once--today is the 5th of May. They have used the excuse that they can't open my gate to get into the yard. Are you kidding me? If you can't open a gate then how can you push a lawn mower? Today two of their employees were in my backyard, finally after 3 weeks, using weed whackers to cut my grass instead of a mower. They chopped 1/4th of the yard and then just left. They have also burned sections of my side yard, put huge holes in my front yard, they dont weed whack along the fence line, and have left debris all over my sidewalk, driveway, and walkway to the house. And when I have called to complain I am told that they take care of the yard as the see fit. And when I ask if they can come back and mow my backyard I am told I will just have to wait until next week b/c they wont return to an area after they have finished, even when they are all sitting in their truck that is parked in front of my house for an hour and a half. I understand it is a free service to me as my husband is deployed, but still. I feel that if you volunteer a service then you should provide that service. Trugreen is a horrible company, and their customer service is even worse.

DESTROYED MY LAWN
Trugreen should be renamed Trubrown because that's what happened to my lawn after they treated it. i paid trugreen to maintain my lawn not destroy it like they did. after the last treatment I started getting" large " areas of brown (DEAD) grass which was continuing to spread. Trugreen sent a supervisior down and he checked the sprinkler and said the coverage was fine and i didn't have cinch bugs. he couldn't give my a straight answer as to what caused it. I was pissed because I pay them to maintain my lawn. he sent someone down to respray and that was a waste !!! I wound up paying a landscaper $2, 000 to install a new lawn and oh course TRUGREEN said it was there fault. well who's fault is it? I got options from two other reputable companies and they both said it was caused by trugreens chemicals. DON'T BE A VICTIM! DO NOT HIRE TRUGREEN!!!

Bad product and service
Last season, 2010, Trugreen made my lawn look horrible. Their promise to rid my lawn of crabgrass, and their 'fibs' about what they were putting on my yard- ridiculous!
I requested a manager to call me at least 4 times, to no avail. They showed up this season while I was not home and started their process. I immediately called and the 'expert' was trying to get me to continue and was not addressing my concerns. He finally asked what he could do to make it up to me...I said stop my service and waive the bill for the unauthorized treatment. His only comment was that if I was cancelling wht y woulsd he make it up to me. I guess to trugreen we are only treated well if we are customers. I got mad and cussed at him, (my bad). I am contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Beware of Cancellation
I'm so disappoited with the way TruGreen service. Last year 2010, I had TruGreen do service for my Lawn for the whole year. At the end of the year I did talk to the customer service to cancel my service. The guy said ok. Than he handed the phone off. I thought it's all done.
This year, Feb, 2011 the service man came and knock the door to do the lawn service. I told them, I did cancel already. So, they pack it up and left without do anything.
About couple day after, I recieved a bill to charge for service, which is already cancelled.
I call in to tell them it was a mistake. You guys need to take it off the bill. The guy told me, my supervisor will call you. I wait for the next three day, no body call. I call in again. This time I talk to a lady name's Molisa. She told me, I will send the message to the technician, whom came to do your service. It's ok. I wait for two more days. Than nobody call me again. I call in again. This time I talk to the guy. I told him, I need to take care of this today, because, this is the mistake and I don't want to have any problem later on. He told me, if you don't want problem, go ahead send the bill in. I asked hime - what????. Than he told me, I will call you back. The next two days, never had any call. I call back back again, talked to Molisa. The lady I had been talked befor. She said, Oh... nobody call you yet. Let I send him a message again. I ask them - can I talk to the supervisor. They don't let me talk to the supervisor.
I still don't understand, now aday, people still running this kind of business around. I don't think they will last long to do what they are doing.
Hopefully no body else have this kind of crab in your life.

Bad Management
Bad Management/Bad Customer Service due to RESCHEDULING
We asked that the Trugreen notify us when the service is being done so that we can be home when the service is being provided. You never know if these people are actually doing what they’re supposed to be doing…wouldn’t be the first time.
Anyhow, whenever I reschedule I specifically have the Customer Service repeat the date 2-3 times to make sure we’re on the same page. Now, when we do get screwed I personally talk to Shilo. Now, Shilo the Manager at 2421 Black Gold Ct Houston, TX keeps on apologizing and tells me that this will NEVER happen again. But guess what...it keeps on happening...not once not twice not three but 6 times. I can't even keep up anymore.
Originally our appointment was for Feb 4th but I called to reschedule for the 10th instead. So, today is the day they were supposed to come out and do the treatment. So, I’m sitting here waiting and waiting and it’s past 1:00 and still nothing.
I called the company and spoke to the Customer Service. She said that “they rescheduled me for the 18th.” I said “that’s NOT possible.” Then she said “originally you were scheduled for the 10th but you wanted to reschedule for the 18th.” I confirmed to her that it was NOT the case because the woman I spoke to when I rescheduled repeated the date multiple times.” I told her that “I didn’t want to deal with Shilo anymore because he’s useless to me. You BETTER have somebody come out here. I don’t care if he has to go back there to refill his truck.” The woman called me back and said that she’s having someone come out here but it’ll be awhile…I don’t care.
How can this Shilo be a manager if he can't even get his shit together????? I know that the economy being down right now doesn't help. Is the company just desperate? Why do customers have to suffer this kind service? We pay our bills on time...I just don't get it.

Untruthful Salesman
TruGreen did wonders for my lawn. Workers were very helpful in explaining what they were doing and answering my questions. Problem was: The sales representative for Trugeeen #4495 Evansville, Indiana was relentless in calling about what I needed to do for my trees and shrubs. When I told him I could not afford one specific large project he said I needed, he told me, "no problem. We'll work with you". I had it done and the bill came soon after. I started paying $50.00 each month...that is when letters, phone calls started coming. Bottom Line: If you can't afford to pay your amount in one lump sum, don't have it done because there is no..."no problem" with TruGreen. They want it now.

Calling ever
This is the worst lawn service company that I have ever used. The quality of their work is very poor. Din't noticed any improvements in my grass after using them for a year. They have continued to call me on a weekly basis at any time of the day and have ignore my request for them to stop calling me. I don't recommend this Company to anyone, they may be the largest but are the worst.
They continue to offer you extra services and even when you tell them you don't want them, they will continue on calling you.

Repeatedly overcharged for services not performed
The ***, Ga office continues to send invoices for services that were never performed. I spoke with Brenda in the office and she said she would handle it. She never did. Bryan, the manager refuses to speak with me. Instead they turned by 85 year old father over to collections. I refuse to allow him to pay for something he didn't get.
This is the absolutely the worse managed company I have ever seen. Don't due
business with them. It's apparent there is some sort of pay incentive program based on billings regardless whether they're legit or not.
