I relocated to Pretoria in May. I had to pay a deposit to have my utilities activated. My utility bill increased on average by R200 per month.
This month's bill arrived and it was a whopping R1500. Nearly double from the previous month. After many phone calls - which either gets cut of, or end up holding nearly 30 minutes, I was told that this was due to an increase in my deposit. How can you increase a deposit three months later? The point is, the deposit for service activation was paid upon commencement of the contract. It's a fixed amount. This is daylight robbery. What's their excuse going to be next month?
