The following is a copy of an e-mail that I have sent to Tuffy Auto Repair on Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte on 01/20/09, with no response. I also called their Customer Service line and have yet to be offered any type of resolution other than paying for the full repair and damage by the repair shop;

I have my Dodge truck in your Port Charlotte store for a tune up. One of your mechanics broke off a spark plug in the engine. Your manager called and said that this is somehow my responsibility to the tune of $1100. I did not authorize this action, nor would I have if someone from your store would have called to say there was a problem with one of the plugs. I would like this resolved TODAY!!! This is my only vehicle. I have no problem paying for the tune up. But, I will not pay for something that is not my responsibility through the inappropriate actions of your mechanic and management team.
Please contact me ASAP!!!
Billy

It appears I will be (and am being) held hostage for the poor workmanship and inappropriate management of the auto repair store.
Any suggestions? Your help and/or direction would be greatly appreciated.
I am in the process of contacting Better Business and Auto Repair complaint organizations, newspapers, and an attorney as it appears Tuffy as an organization, nor the franchise operation owner or manager has any desire to resolve this issue in a timely fashion. I'm sure they will wait until I can no longer do without the vehicle and be forced to resolve the issue legally after the fact.
Thank you.
