Poor service!
They are scammers, that's for sure. Now I would like to suggest that anyone reading this, and anyone reading this has been scammed by this company, file a complaint, not only online, but through the US Mail. I have done that and here is where you write: United States Government, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Fraud Internet, Congress, Senators, Washington, D.C. 20001 with a copy going to Consumer Advocates Group, 1455 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20004. I sent them copies of all the complaints listed on the Message Board. One person alone will probably not make a difference, but besieging them with complaints could make them take action.

Replacement of defective DVD's
I ordered a set of 16 "That Girl" DVD's last December, five of which were defective when I played them for the first time last February. I notified them of the problem and have been having a running correspondence with them since February, with promises to replace them, but no action. I have threatened them with a lawsuit and bad publicity. The cost to me for the DVD's was $173.98. I only wish I had investigated this company prior to ordering but it was the only company which offered DVD's for the entire 5 years of the sitcom. I don't know whether I will get satisfaction from this, but I've come to the conclusion that they are scam artists. It was an expensive lesson to learn.

CROOKS - Scammers - No Delivery
I contacted them about my Muppets DVD boxed set. I bought it at dvddonkey.com. (they go by many different names and they keep changing them)
They charged my card over $100.00. I contacted them through the live chat AFTER trying the 877-7-TV SHOW (joke) and the 877-TV-SERIES. "Marie" answered and here is our entire conversation:
Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Marie'
Marie: hi
Marie: how may i help you?
you: Hello?
you: Hi I just read two recent complaints stating that this company did not deliver over $1000 order and that this company is fake What type of information can you provide to me, ie where they are actually located, phone number, etc.
you: I placed an order earlier this month and now I am concerned.
Marie: our contact number is 1-877-tv-show
Marie: we been in this business for more than 4 years now (at this point I was getting concerned due to the grammar here..."we been in this business...?? yikes)
Marie: i dont think we're going to be here until now if we dont provide good customer service
you: is there a way you can check on my order
you: i am only checking because my husband is a police officer and he is mad that i did this on line
you: he said there is so much ID fraud
Marie: well we cannot please everybody, maybe our competitor is doing all this stuff
Marie: we just want to continue providing our customers what they need
you: can you check on my order?
you: and i thought the site said the number is 877-tv series
Marie: that's our other number
you: can you tell me about my order please
Marie: what's your transactin id
you: plus 877 tv show doesnt equal enough numbers
you: my husband is getting the print out for my id number
you: believe me i will file charges if this is fraud
you: why did you give me an incomplete phone number?
you: hello?
you: hello?
you: hello? (after waiting several minutes...)
you: Well well well
you: that's fine
you: thank goodness we are so close with officers in the fraud and forgery department
you: i have recorded this entire conversation
you: i want a call back within 24 hours with an date of delivery of my dvd set
you: You can find my order under Aimee AXXXX
you: along with that you will locate my phone number
Chat session has ended.
And I was "hung-up" on basically.
Does anyone know where they are located so we can contact the fraud and forgery dept? Please respond to my comment. This needs to be stopped!!!!
Got ahold of Karen (1 0f the 3 fake customer service reps of Marie, Karen or Jen) and she would not give me any info on where they are located except for Miami, FL (yeah, right).
I filed with the Federal Trade Commission on line, you should too at:

DVD's never sent!
This company was fast enough to charge my account but did not come up with the merchandise. When I called to cancel the order the so called operator just happens to disconnect the call (How convenient).
I lost money and like anybody who works hard its a shame we have to deal with these scam artist.

Bad DVD's and probable illegal copying!
I ordered the full series of Hogan's Heroes from these people back in June.
The DVD's arrived OK but were badly packaged and all of the cases were damaged in some way. When I got around to playing the DVD's, most were unwatchable due to blobs and flashes on screen and bad audio. This is typical of the results you get when copying VCR tapes on to DVD. Some of the episodes are incomplete and in 3 cases, not on the DVD at all.
The last few DVD's feature CBS introductions ("CBS brings you this program in color!") and also some ads as to when the program next airs. Obviously copied from the TV. I have repeatedly emailed them for a replacement set, but I keep getting fobbed off. If one ever did arrive, I would be very surprised if the quality was any better. I strongly advise against dealing with this company or their accomplices DVDavenue.tv.
I have since ordered the same set from Amazon for less cost! Wish I'd known!

Bad product replacement!
On August 10 I ordered and paid for the Perry Mason 48-disk Set. The set I received was "garbage " - 83 missing episodes, 28 duplicate recordings, 1 triplicate recording, 6 incomplete episodes and 2 non-Perry Mason disks. I requested the address to return the set for a full refund but was offered a replacement set free of charge. Requests for status of my replacement set got me nothing but apologies for delays. Today, my email is rejected.
Beware!

Incorrect charge!
I found out about tvaddicts after placing an order a few days ago and tried canceling the order, first by email and then by calling their number. I was surprised I actually got someone on the line. She said the order would be canceled but a charge has shown up. The total for the order was to have been $178.78 although the amount that showed up today when I went by the bank was $185.92. I had the charge disputed and my credit card shredded as I've heard this ripoff company has charged people multiple times.

Do not buy from this company!
How I wish I had come across this website before I placed my order with TV Addicts, looks like I will lose my money too. Only ordered DVD set yesterday but received no confirmation of payment or order. I have reported them to my bank in the hope that my money can be recovered. I am writing this complaint as a warning to anyone else who are thinking of buying online from TV Addicts.com. Avoid them at all costs!!!

Fraud and cheating!
I ordered a dvd set of the tv series "Eight is Enough," which was priced at about $180 plus over $20 for shipping. They shipped it in a manila envelope and several of the cases were damaged. I immediately contacted them and, after many emails on my part and a few responses on theirs, they promised a refund. Although they stated my credit card was credited, it certainly was NOT. I did watch one of the dvds and it is of very low quality and appears to have been recorded straight from tv or from a tape made of the shows.
In short, the quality is quite poor and, when they bother to respond to a problem, they lie about it.
