unauthorized charge
I did not give this company my credit card information. I was offered a free magazine subscription from this company with the promise that while they would automatically renew my subscription the following year, they would send a notice in the mail detailing the charge and presumably a bill. Instead they charged my credit card, which I honestly don't know how they accessed. I called and canceled. They refunded $44.36 of the $46.00 charge and then about a month later charged me $5.97. This was apparently for an offer for a shorter term subscription to the magazine, to which I never agreed. I called again and canceled this charge. I was then re-billed the $44.36. Currently, they claim to have no record of this charge. I finally found a way to contact the company and speak to a person (800-586-2710) and my account is now being reviewed by a 'specialist.' Although it was entirely my fault for falling for the "free subscription" scam in the first place, this company has accessed my credit card account without my permission and made it very difficult to completely cancel the subscription.

FRAUD BILLING! SCAM!!
First of all, google TWX magazine. I'll wait. You may notice that you never even get a website for the company... but a full page after page listing of fraud and scam complaints. Thats bad, when the search didn't even include anything but the company name.
I signed up with a subscription 2 years ago through blender magazine. I kept it cause i didnt mind the magazines..but at some point i got tired of them so I decided not to renew. But they kept coming. After that, a long while after that, I was skimming over my bank statement and discovered SEVERAL charges from this new TWX blender, which eventually just became TWX Maxim. Not being able to find contact information at the time I just canceled that card that I used, got a new card. Well, two new cards later (bringing us to now) I got another bill...from TWX!! Enough was enough, I called the bank and they acknowledged they have this problem very rare but only with companies like this and...funny enough... AOL, leading me to believe they are linked.
Anyway, The bank fined them and returned the funds to my account. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! If you want the magazine buy it straight from the company. A legit company.

Unauthorized charge for magazine
This company charged my VISA an unauthorized $30.00 for Entrepreneur Magazine that I did NOT authorize. I can only be connected to an automated telephone number that I found on my VISA statement. There is no live person to talk to in order to get a credit for this magazine that I did not order.

charged my account without notifying
Someone charged my credit card without my authorization! I don't know who they are but the name appeared on my bank record is TWX * /8006425640. They have stolen my money!

unautorized charges
2 months ago we recieved three free months of magazines through fye music all of a sudden today 1/6/2010 we recieved a debit for the amount of 19.50 out of our bank account. these people are scams do not use them at all

Unauthorized use of my credit card
Looking at my credit card statement on line today I found an amount of $35.00 for TWX Magazine (Bird Talk) which I did not order. I do take a watered down version of Bird Talk which I paid for by personal check several months ago. Before disputing the claim I called this service and told them I did not authorize payment, nor did I order the new subscription since I already had one for two years. The gentleman (?) told me I must have forgotten, I told him I didn't forget just a matter of one week ago. We argued some what. He then said the service would credit my account but it would take two months? What? He claimed I was sent an email by another magazine I had ordered. I am not sure how this service got my Credit Card number but am glad it's not a debit card. I believe it give Bird Talk Magazine a black eye and any other magazine for that matter. I would think it would be illegal for other magazines to sell credit card numbers.

automated renewel w/o notification
Ok, I took advantage of the offer to check out some magazines on a trial basis but Nowhere did it say that my subscription would automatically be renewed nor did I receive anything in the mail stating that it would.The automated service took forever but after hitting the pound sign over, over and over I got an agent on the line.She kept trying to get me to renew, which I'm aware is her job, but finally she refunded the charges.You also have to tell the agent to cancel any other magazines you have with them because they won't ask!!!

UNAUTHORISED CHARGES
What a ripoff !!!
beware !... Do not fall for this scam. my wife and i have a shared credit card account with seperate card #"s. my wife ordered some
magazine's last year, came time to renew she filled out cancle card sent to us with last magazine, we have not recieved any more magazine's however last week alot of my auto pays for gas, elect, phone etc. were declined for nsf i called my credit card company and was told several charges were made for opera, maxium, cosmo, womens day magazine's and was advised i must call twx for refund, called twx and found out they charged my card# not my wife's (?) i canceled anything they had on me twx said it would take 72 hrs for credit to be issued back on card... we'll see.

Unauthorized withdrawal to checking account
Charged my checking account $37.00 for magazines I did not order. I did not receive a notice of any kind this would be happening. i contacted the company and they gave me credit and canceled the magazines. I told them to never charge my account for anything again and read some of the complaints I found on them the rep i was talking to. She seen not to care. They must be use to it by now.
