Closed account without authority - Funds now missing
Since Nov 2010 I have been asking UBS to provide proof that I requested that my account be closed and that they provide proof of payment when they closed the account. I ended up at Annette Marsula -Manager, Client Relations. Who told me that they had sent me a cheque but she refuses to provide proof that I cashed the cheque. She says that the account was closed almosr 5 years ago and that they do not need to keep records for longer than 5 years. I have email and faxed her proof that my account was still active in June 2006, meaning that she has to sent me the records pertianing to the cheque they'supposedly' sent and my request to close the account in the first place. I have sent numerous emails and I just get excuses, like she cannot read my attachments as they are block. Rubbish I have faxed them twice as well. I am happy to share all the emails or post them on the web as proof.

Caused my family to lose $1.6 million
We invested with UBS many years ago. They totally mismanaged our account, but refused to make things right. We fought them in arbitration and in the courts for 10 years, and lost. It's not easy fighting a bully. They had our portfolio 90% invested in Worldcom and other tech stocks, even after we retired and needed safer investments. They just kept saying "don't sell, buy more, it will go back up. It went from $95 per share to bankruptcy. Even when it hit $5, they said to buy more. We never even received an apology. I would never advise anyone to trust their investments with UBS.
