United Acceptance Reviews

Using foul language and threatening
United Acceptance agreed to modify my loan and sent two contracts that were totally wrong, one on the 15th September and one on the 29th of September. They advised me not to send a payment until the paperwork was signed. I did sign the contracts even though they were wrong like they requested. These contracts didn’t even show an account number.

I’ve never received a statement showing payments received or what the exact payment amount is nor have I received a payment coupon book which I can enclose with payments. I have sent in payments electronically through my bank and they have said that they were never received they have also implied that the payments have bounced which is impossible because they were sent right from the bank.

Now they are calling daily, using foul language and threatening to come and pick up my vehicle. The caller won’t give his name, nor will he allow us to speak to a superior. I told them that I would make a payment on Oct. 31st and then another payment in November to get caught up and they wouldn’t even respond to that. They are accusing me of being months behind but I have made a payment every month.

I would appreciate anything that be done so that I can keep my vehicle and find out exactly how much I’ve paid and owe. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

Scam
I made my car payments on just fine from the dealership until they had united acceptance take over then everything went wrong. I signed a written agreement with United Acceptance and i made my payments on time but United Acceptance still came and got my truck and sold it!!! They are liars and the are scammers. They took all my payments and still took my car away.. I now have a lawyer!! United Acceptance likes to wait until you are almost done paying it off so that they can scerw you over!! This is not right and we have to speak up!!

Scam and cheating
While the company did write a standard retort they failed to add that they did not in this instance "do all they could" we were making payments that were more than the interest on the loan. we had just sent them $600 then $200 two weeks later but they said we were still $1000 behind in payments. we sent in no less than $200 a month on a $356 loan so how in the *** do we get that far behind? they said that they tried to work with us but the only working they wanted was all the money at once or they would repo the truck, so they did. no warning no care on their part. no matter what they profess they did not work with us, they only wanted the full amount of the payments each month no less. i had lost my job due to injury and so my husband was trying to pay all the bills with one check, most of you out there understand what that's like now, so we got behind in a lot of bills. we were having trouble just paying the lights and gas but still we gave them money so we could keep our truck so my hubby could get to work and back, pick up the meds i need and just get extra hours at different store for more money for bills. now he takes a bicycle and can't get extra hours and i can't get to any doctor appointments because i can't walk the 4 miles to the bus and where we live the taxi costs $30 just to pick up then the meter starts so now all of you good people understand why this company is on my *** list. oh on a different note. the company--united acceptance--- put our truck up for auction ( only $5000 left) without a minimum bid limit and now they want us to pay the $3000 or more left that they did not get in the auction. they repoed it and that makes it their problem, but no they want us to pay and we don't even get the truck. so, what is the motivation? we are screwed either way and i will not give them any more money. what are they going to do ruin our credit? guess what it is already screwed anyway. i just hope that some one else reads this and does not get the shaft. for warned is for armed. please be careful who you trust with your loans. look into them carefully. mine is not the only gripe this company has against them, so it is not just us with an ax to grind. all this company is into is the money. yes they need to make money, but that truck would have been paid for even though we would live on only rice and beans we were paying on it.

We traded in their vehicle
We had a car from this rip off comapny, I have also placed a complaint with the better business burea. Basically we had a vehicle with this comapny ( we didn't buy it from them our account was sold to these parasites) our account was fine when it wasn't with them but since they had it it was hell. We owed approx.4, 000 on the account, it was our plan to pay the payments and own it outright but then my wife tells me she received a call about late fees coming to 400.00. This is the rip off the fees where because we payed on the due date via electronic checks that they took two days to clear and since that was never told to us we payed that way. Now they are saying we owe an addtional fee that was never discussed. We decided to get rid of the vehicle so we traded it in. The dealership spoke to a rep from Untied Ripoff and communicated that they had the car, asked for a payoff amount. United Unacceptance has called us 8 times asking us fabout the status of the account. We have explained to them we traded the car, we gave the the name of the dealership, the name of the sales rep and number but they won't call them once but instead they choose to harass us. Now this is the kicker this is the 2nd time this has happened ( I had a vehicle that was also sold to them and they did the same thing to a tee...the mystery fees and then when I traded the vehicle they did the exact samr thing.) Also they never have you talking to one person, so the stories change, they calim to update your account but when you discuss it with another rep they say oohhh thats not in your account info. This comapny is the worst and they should be subject to a class action suit. I know we are not the only ones they have done this to.
