I have been working as a massage therapist since 2002. I decided to acquire more educational hours and chose United Education Institue because it was close to home. It didn't take me long to realize that something was terribly wrong. My first instructor, an acclaimed witch, was angry and abusive. My second instructor, Mike Lang, couldn't have been worse. He is a small man with control issues and knows very little about the true nature of massage therapy. It would take too long to describe the many ways in which he proved himself to be a total scam. In fact, the institute at large appears to be a total scam. Generally, young people enroll in massage therapy classes knowing next to nothing about the industry. They can be told or not told just about anything, and wouldn't know the difference. I did, however, no the difference. I enrolled with knowledge and experience and the instructors at the United Education Institute couldn't handle it. Mr. Mike Lang took every opportunity to disgrace me, embarrass me and to make me look bad. He seemed to be concerned that his students believe that he knew more than me, which in truth, was not the fact. I've attempted and am still seeking resolution in that I believe Mr. Mike Lang needs to be held accountable for his gross errors, including falsifying records and assigning grades for a test that he did not give. I have spoken to everyone from the president of UEI to the assigned "problem solvers". All they do is brush me off. I would love to file a lawsuit against them, if anyone would care to join me.
