Cheated on purchase of a used car
I purchased a 2003 chevy Impala on the last week of May 2010 at United Imports. I paid $2100 as a down payment to purchase the car, this covered taxes and title also. When I picked up the car I was never given any paperwork on the car. About a week later, I began having trouble with the car not starting. I would sit and try to start the car and it would not start. I was on the telephone with the dealership all the time complaining that the car would not start, I had no air conditioning, a bad front end alignment. So the owner, whose name is TJ swapped out the 2003 Impala for a 2000 chevy Impala. I was given no paperwork for the 2000 chevy Impala. About a week and a half later, I began to experience starting issues with the 2000 chevy Impala. I constantly had problems starting the car. I was constantly complaining to the dealership about the car. It would not start much of the time, I had no air conditioning, and once again I had a bad front end alignment. I took my cousin to the dealership and TJ the owner, stated that he did not have to stand by his product. The reason being is that the state of Tennessee does not recognize the lemon law. But the last time that I checked all states of the United States have to follow federal laws. At this time, the car would not start because the starter had gone bad. We had the car towed to the dealership after speaking with him. He said he would fix the car. We paid for towing and he wants to charge me to fix the car. I have not heard from him since. He will not return telephone calls. Never buy a vehicle from this place.
