United Part Supply Reviews

Fraud
To make a year-long story short, just don't do business with these people. Great was my joy when they actually had my heater/AC circuit boards in stock and available for delivery. Actually, they never did have them. I learned this (easily enough) after months of returning the wrong parts (always, according to them, my fault). Returned to their site and re-entered all the parts-search (jump-thru-the-hoops-to-make-it-look-legit) criteria. Again...Congrats!/In-stock/Available for delivery. Then, on a whim, instead of the part #s, I entered "Peking Duck". Guess what? That too was an authorized Carrier AC replacement part; and, lucky me, in-stock and available for delivery!!! I decided that $340.91 was a little pricey for Peking Duck; so I went up the street and paid $11 at the local Chinese take-out. It, too, didn't seem to fit my Carrier unit; but I saved $330 this time. I have a $340.91 credit with these cons (useless)...end of story!

not having the ordered part
The absolute worst customer service experience i have ever had. Ordered a kit, did not get all the parts in this kit. I called serveral times and talked with someone that kept telling me he would check into it and get back to me. They never called me back. I finally got ahold of them and told them i wanted to return the parts. Another couple of days waiting for the return dept. to email me. I called again, then they sent me the info. And then i found out that they will charge a restocking fee of 50%. There were several phone calls to them that were very frustating. They told me it will be 30 to 60 days to get a refund. Don't ever pay with a check because you get a discount, that was a mistake i made. You can't call your credit card company and have them dispute it for you, and you get screwed without getting kissed by united part supply.

Scam to get your order
I tried to locate a circuit board for my AC and found it with the search engine on their website, where you have to select the part position (inside/outside), then the brand (Bryant), then the part number. After a few seconds, you get a SUCCESS page, showing that your part is in stock, a very nice price, and THEIR product number that is the one you entered but for example a "Z6-" leading and a "-32BTW" trailing. I wanted to be sure that w talk about the same part, so I send an email (via their website), including pictures etc (like they proudly say is possible) and waited. I got a mail back that says more or less: Don't worry, just send the order with all information and pictures you have and our guys will make sure that the part we send you is exactly the one you want" (no idea why they could not do that BEFORE I order)
Just to check the price I did the search again but accidentally made a typo in my part number. Hey!!! success again. So I tried stupid part numbers like "just give us your money" and hey 111 again, " Z6-just give us your money-32BTW" is a genuine Bryant replacement part, its in stock, its a control board and it's dirt cheap.
Tried that with different brands, parts, and different stupid part numbers, all the same. It's always in stock, cheap and you can have rush delivery.

And o yeah, the take credit cards AND you can fax in your check or money order

After that I checked them out: their web URL is "privacy protected" so you don't find out who owns it. It's from 2009 !! so they are not very long in that business
And you will find complaints all over the internet.
I will stay away from them.

Price changes
United Part Supply advertises Trane compressors at one price and says it is in stock. Ordered it and receceived an e-mail the next day that the price is now over $400.oo more, if I wanted it due to availability. This company is a rip-off. I immediately told them to cancel my order.

Terrible Customer Service
I ordered a part on-line and paid the heavily inflated amount for rush shipping...the item arrived 11 days later (soem rush) at which time I found out they were less than a 2 hour drive from my home. The part was not only incorrect but took so long to arrive that I was forced to hire an A/C technician to complete the repair. After trying to return the part, the not only stole 1/2 my money, but had the audacity to tell me that I was wrong and that was the right part (we are talking apples and oranges here). To frustrate me even further, they refused to refund my money and offered a store credit only...like I would ever be stupid enough to buy anything from them ever again!!!

didn't ship as promised, overcharged
This vendor has a second website: www.expertappliance.com

There was no fraud here. I wish someone would have warned me away from this vendor, so I'll warn those who follow.

I needed a part for my Carrier furnace. This part is the blower wheel, which moves hot or cold air into the air ducts. I had not yet removed the worn part, so I didn't have the part number. To their credit, this vendor allow me to order based on the model number of my furnace without entering a part number.

Their website stated that they are in Orange City, FL (within 2 hours of my home) and had the part in stock. I expected that since I was ordering early in the day that they would actually ship that same day, allowing a UPS ground shipment to reach me the following day. This was important to me as I had my air conditioning turned off over the weekend and my home was quite uncomfortable.

When I called to follow up the next day, I learned that they had not shipped and would ship not from their advertised location but instead from Ohio. They committed to delivery within 7 days. They advised that I could receive the part next-day for an additional charge of about $100. They later reduced this to $75 and I accepted. That raised my cost from $194 to $269.

So far, the deal has been disappointing but not terrible. One day delay and a price increase of 44%. It stings, but I'm not bleeding.

I receive the shipment as expected, install the part, and all is well.

Both my original part and the replacement are labeled with the part number. I Googled this part number and realized that I've been had. The part goes for just $66 from other suppliers. There are seven sources offering it for less than $100.

Here's what you can take away from this:
1. When ever possible, try to remove your worn part to examine it for a part number BEFORE buying a replacement. Google the part number.
2. If you don't know the part number, any vendor that gives you a price but won't tell you the manufacturer's part number is doing it so that you can't check prices. Tread carefully.
3. Stay away from United Part Supply, unless you want to pay triple and then pay for premium shipping because they're shipping from far away.

Tryin to sell Furnace Parts
We are trying too locate a Furnace Part for our York Furnace.
We came to a web site www.expertappliance.com/partfinder.php
It came with a logo up in the left corner from a company name UNITED PART SUPPLY
I tried to locate this company and find out just who they are without any luck.
But they came up with the part I was looking for, gave me a price, and stated that it was in stock.
If you care to check this out go to the web site and put a Model # P2UGB30N180318 for a Heat Exchanger for a York Furnace.
They will tell you they have the part and will give you a RUSH DELIVERY.
They tell you here to e-mail parts if you have questions. But they tell you why they can't
answer you by any other way.
I contacted legit York Furnace Part Dealers, and they have stated that this part in not available any longer and that it cannot be found for a replacement.

So, potential buyer's from this outfit BEWARE

Viking Parts
I ordered 3 burner knobs, at $67 each, for my Viking cooktop and received part of the knob, which was completely useless. I contacted the company 4 times to try to get the additional pieces. The person on the phone promised to call back but never did. I subsequently got the knobs for $6 each. United Part Supply charged a 900% mark-up and only sent part of the knob. They are a rip-off.
