non payment of claim
I and my family were in an auto wreck in March 2005. At the time of the accident I had full coverage insurance and the insurance company didn't pay for the other vehicle or for my vehicle that I was driving and I had to pay to get it fixed. I found out last year when I was pulled over by an officer that my license had been suspended and I got to take a trip to jail for 3 days. I had not been notified from anyone that there was a problem with the claim from the accident or that I didn't have a legal right to be driving. At the time that I got out of jail I began trying to find out what happened and that is when we learned of the problem. We have made many attempts to fix the problem and time after time we were informed that it would be taken care of. Well it has still not been done. I have no license, I had to pay to get my own truck fixed, I went to jail (which was the most devastating thing that ever has happened to me), I had to pay for a lawyer for the jail situation along with community service and I now have to file an SR22 and pay what ever other fees that are associated with this. I don't feel the accident was my fault - I was never informed that the insurance company was in dispute with the other persons claim, and it seems that I am the only one hurting here. I need to find out what I can do to get this taken care of so that my license can be reinstated, my refund for me having my truck fixed is refunded and I feel that I should be reimbursed for my lawyer fees court costs and the time that I have and will be missing work for the community service and all. Please let me know what to do.
