I have been trying to apply at WITS to finish my degree but they needed a statement of good conduct and my final transcript for my year completed and the University of Johannesburg.Back in 2005 I cancelled my studies in March at UJ. I sent email confirmation to say I wanted to cancel my course and phoned and was told that I did not need to submit anything else for my studies to be cancelled. Afterwards we moved house and never heard from UJ again.I've recently been in correspondence with UJ to get the relevant transcript and statement of good conduct (I've already applied at WITS and payed a registration fee, and also arranged to move from the UK back to SA especially for my studies) but UJ are telling me that I never cancelled my studies and I am liable for the fees for the whole year of 2005 ie; R11, 100. They have also said that I never paid for the first semester, which is incorrect and I have sent them a statement showing I have paid this. I've contacted every department in UJ you can think of and hardly anyone responds, if they do, they just refer me to someone else who either doesn't respond or who again refers me to someone else. I really dont know what to do anymore.
