I STARTED WITH THESE CALLS A YEAR AGO. THEY ALSO CALLED FAMILY & FRIENDS. THEY WERE THREATENING AND SCARY. I WAS ACTUALLY IN TEARS THE FIRST NIGHT. I WAS SEARCHING MY MEMORY, TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT DID I FORGET. WELL I CHECKED ALL MY FINANCES AND BANK PAPERWORK AND I HAD NOT MISSED ANYTHING. THEY WERE THREATENED WITH LAWYERS AND STOPPED CALLING. ONE YEAR LATER ( OR SO) WE START GETTING THE CALLS AGAIN, NOW WORSE AND WITH A MORE SEVERE TONE AND NASTY WORDS. MY BEST FRIEND WAS CALL AND TOLD THAT SHE WAS GOING TO BE SUED AND WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY DEBT, SINCE I DID NOT PAY. THIS IS ALL ABOUT A DEBT I DID NOT EVEN HAVE. THEN WHEN HER HUSBAND CONFRONTED THEM ON THE PHONE THEY MADE A LEWD REMARK " OH YEAH, YOUR NEIGHBOR IS F***ING YOUR WIFE"...THEY WERE SO STUNNED ALL THEY COULD DO WAS LAUGH. WELL, THEY WERE ONCE AGAIN THREATENED THAT WE WOULD GET A LAWYER. NO CALLS SINCE, BUT I AM SO OVER THIS. SOMETIMES THEY CALL SO MANY TIMES IN ONE DAY, THAT THEY COMPLETELY DRAIN MY CELL PHONE. THAT IS ALSO MY ONLY FORM OF PHONE, NO LAND LINE. WHAT EVER HAPPEN'D TO A GOOD OLD FASHIONED CLASS ACTION SUIT TO SCARE THE PANTS OFF THESE GUYS. THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING THAT WE CAN DO ! ! ! !

As many others, I was also contacted at home and at work by someone telling me of a legal matter.

They said I was sued and if I did not take care of the matter, law officials would come to my work and home.
When I called the number to promptly try to clear up the matter, I was told I had defaulted on a pay day loan with their parent company US Cash Advance. They said I was being sued for 3 counts of criminal fraud and if I make a payment they could work a settlement. He could not give any details about the debt. He had my name, work and cell number, my ssn, email address and bank account. I had a pay day loan but had paid it back some time ago. He seemed to insist on a payment while I was on the phone claiming the court fees would total up over $3000. The case was going to court tomorrow and the only way to stop it was to make a payment right then. I told him I needed to confirm with my husband, but he didn't seem satisifed with that.
Since then, I researched the company, found out it is a SCAM and reported it to the FTC - 877-382-4357. I have a fraud alert on my accounts thanks to Trans Union - 800-680-7289.

I also had a call today from a Gary or Jerry Hunt (aslo thick accent not sure if indian or middle eastern) telling me it was an urgent call reguarding a hit on my Soc. # and when i called back he told me that the person who called me was out even though i called right back. He said he was the first guys supervisor and he was officer Richard someone. He then told me i had defaulted on a loan taken out last year in 2010 for 400.00 and now with all the fees it was going to be 9, 000 and i had an option to settle it with him now over the phone or be taken to court because it was a criminal case now. He of course had some information on me like all the other people have said in their stories so i went on to ask how this got so far and why had i not been contacted if such loan was outstanding for so long since obviously they had all my info.? He did not go in to details about that he just asked me what i could pay and i said nothing because i did'nt take it out. I had last year my wallet stolen at work so my mind immediately thought that is something pertaining to this call because i have been dealing with fraud this whole last year with my identity stolen because of the wallet situation. I told him i don't know how this could have happened and he got rude with me like the others have said and ended up hanging up on me. Sound familiar? Any i went immediately online to find out some more info. from this pay day loan web site and that's when i came across this complaint site and i am sure glad i did because i was in tears before i read all of the complaints that were eerily similiar to the encounter i just had. These people are full of crap!

I just got the same call. I looked in to a payday loan about a week ago but have NEVER had one. how do these poeple get all our info has anyone found out what we can do to stop them?

We have received a visit from a D.A. and also the police claiming we are U.S. Cash Advance and we are not this company. We have had similar problems as well during January of last year, our main V.O.I.P. server in Glendora also was hacked and phished to being treated with a different I.P. address and website address, and once again having similar situation in Fremont.
