US Fidelis Reviews

Rip off
The commercial on their website with Rusty and Steve Wallace says they have free towing coverage. I got my contract in the mail and guess what? I have TOWING REIMBURSEMENT up to $75 and that is only if the warranty company decides the repair is covered.

Scam and cheating
US Fidelis sells warranties that only cover up to the blue book value of your car or even less limits. Sometimes the warranty costs more than your car is worth and you think "WOW" I can just keep getting my car repaired and it will be paid for.

Just remember that the warranty company decides if they will pay for it or not. They decide if they think you were overcharged for the repairs (most times they do). They send inspectors out who look at your vehicle when it is torn down to have an engine or transmission rebuilt that usually say, NOPE not the problem and then you get the bill for it being torn down and put together again. If they do cover one of those expenses then your warranty contract is usually done for as they paid out the limit.

DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING OR EVEN GIVE YOUR BANKING OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION UNTIL YOU SEE THE CONTRACT.

This company might say they will send you some information first but they do not. OR that you can cancel in 30 days if you don't like it; but then they put you through Hxxx to get your money back. They send you through a department that nags you to death to keep the coverage and offers you a lower price. Still the same crap coverage.

They changed their name, they used to be Dealer Services.

Scam
I thought I was dealing with a reputable insurance company, (Not True) they are an insurance broker that signs you up. You are then pauned off to verious enitys that handle your actual claims.Such as for towing in my case to National Adjustment Bureau that handles the towing Claims and then there is a number for the actual repair of the vehicle. The first thing that happend at the dealer was I was told that I would have to pay for the repairs by the dealer because they would not accept payment because of bad experiences thay had with after market insurance companies. After contacting the proper facilitater ther dealer was told that they would only pay $ 63.00 per hr labor and the dealer labor rate was $ 80.00 and I was stuck for the remainder. So they agreed to pay $ 364.84 of a bill of $ 536.15. Then came the towing, the contract said towing up to 15 miles was free, however a second paragraph said if you contract for the service yourself, which I had done because of the long hold ime on the phone, they only pay $100.00 towing and $50.00 for other services such as motel stay or rental car. The person I talked with said they would only pay $ 50.00 towing and when I read her the actual paragraph from the contract she said to send a copy of the contract along with the claim form.
I plan on canceling this policy as soon as possible . (Too many ways to get out of paying claims)

Fraud
After making a call to get information about an auto warranty they were supposed to hold off charging my credit card until I called them with the correct mileage. They went ahead and charged my credit card without my knowledge. There was supposed to be a 30 day period where you could cancel. If took me 6 phone calls and over 3 hours of waiting until I got to the person who was supposed to do the cancellation. This was on the 26th day after they charged my card and the writtenn warranty had only arrived that day. There was no time to analyze it or decide if it was a good deal. The cancellation woman started off very nice until she realized I was cancelling no matter what she offered me (reduction in price, longer time to study the contract). She kept me on the line for over an hour before saying "Fine, its cancelled. I asked for a fax #so I could send a confirmation of the cancellation. She gave me a number that turned out to be bogus. All 3 numbers I saw listed as fax #'s were bogus.Shortly after that Ireceived my credit card bill and they had failed to credit me for the charge they fradulently made so I had to contact me credit card company. They are rip off artists. I never had the chance to give them the actual mileage but when my "warranty" came they fraudlently put in a number for the mileage which was not true. STAY AWAY FROM US FIDELIS. I am filing a complaint with the attorney general of their state and with the BBB. I urge everyone who has trouble with them to do the same thing.

warranty repair
Purchaced a warranty from us fidelis in febuary for my 2000 GMC Jimmy. Have been faithfully making payments on time. Recently my truck broke down so naturally took it to the nearest Gmc dealership. Since day one it has been a hassle trying to get ahold of anyone, numerous times on hold for well over an hour and upwards of two hours just to be put on hold. My service advisor as well having a very difficult time making contact. the warranty company asked for oil change receipts which I gladly provided. After they had approved for diagnosis of the problem the warranty co a few days later sent out an inspector for review. While there the inspector was given a quote from my service advisor for the cost of an engine (including parts and labor) for a total of 7, 300. A few more days went by waiting for an answer. Finaly after calling numerous times the warranty co had informed my service advisor that they would only cover twenty one hundred dollars once the repair was made and they recieved the paperwork. This is due to the fact the trade in value is only $2100. I was never told this when I purchaced the warranty. I was told I should have recieved a package in the mail containing additives for the vehicle along with a list of parts that was covered including the service contract. I had never recieved any documents containing limits of liability. At this point my truck is in peices and I cannot in any way afford the remaining balance. I have spent countless hours on hold only to either reach an answering machine or just flat out get hung up on. forgot to mention I also qualify for a rental car while mine is in the shop. Its been weeks now due to poor communication on the warranty co . The contract apparently only covers one hundred dollars! This would only be a few days at most! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had as a consumer! Personally I have been reviewing this company and have come to the conclusion this is all a big scam! Please someone help!!!

Comapany reputation
I was going to go ahead and purchase the extended warranty insurance form US Fidelis. I decided to research it and find out if there where any complaints against this company. I am so glad that I found this complaint board. I decided to call my local Better Business Bureau after reading some of these complaints just to make sure. I advise everyone to call their local BBB about this company. They have an F-rating, which is the worst rating possible. They have several lawsuits againt them. There have been 1021 complaints filed in the last three years, 525 of these were in this last year. The BBB's list of wrongdoing is far too long to even begin on this site. Please call them for the complete list of complaints and actions against US Fidelis, I am glad I did.

took funds from my acct. without authorization
On the 9th of June I was notified that US Fidelis had attempted to take $130.00 dollars from my savings acct. They used the name of a different indivudial as well as my name. Icalled the number given to my credit union for dispute and was placed on hold for fourty min. before finally hanging up. I had to pay a fee and change my acct. number to avoid any further charges from this companie. They have also continually called our home after repeatedly being told we were on the National do not call registery.
