Called to have locks re-keyed on my house and was quoted $39.00 trip charge and $10.50 a lock. Guy came out did 4 locks and charged me for 5 said one was a double bolt. The shocker was the bill which he said was $345.95. ($39.95 trip charge, $294.75 to re-key the locks, $85.00 labor charge and $26.25 tax). I called Washington Ave Locksmith (which is really USA Locksmith and talked to Anthony who said I would have never been quoted that price. Ask to speak to his supervisor which he said was Richard and was told he was not available. The guy who did the work would not tell me his name and was driving an unmark silver van. Paid him $180.00 cash. This company is not honest. ASK FOR BILL IN WRITING BEFORE LETTING THEM DO THE WORK. BEWARE YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED WHAT THEY QUOTE. BBB HAS THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND FIND A LOCAL REPUTABLE LOCKSMITH
