USAFIS is a non governmental agency, assisting people in getting a Green Card through diversity lottery program. Applying for green card lottery is FREE of CHARGE! but due to error and incomplete information lot of forms are rejected every year and that is where USAFIS comes in play, there job is not to provide green card, but they check and verify the application form that you are going to submit and for this service they charge you that is all...now I don't understand why there is so much comment regarding scam and other negative comments...

I entered the Green Card Lottery. I was offered an opportunity for an Australian entry last week, week commencing 4th May. I agreed and the financial transaction went through on my credit card.

I was then advised telephonically the following day that I do not qualify for this offer due to my age. I was promised that they would refund me. I have to date not been refunded.

this website offers US immigration visas on a lottery basis; although i did initiate a response by registering, it should be possible at any time to be spared any further marketing mail

in my experience this is not the case; getting rid of these mails is a very difficult process and i have not yet been successful in doing it

i cannot comment on the bona fides of the organisation, as i decided not to enter into a financial transaction with the organisation, and did not pay over any funds

the phone number has simply been recorded from a mail message received and is untested

i encourage anyone to think twice before getting onto this mailing list

I have made credit card payment for american visa lottery greencard to this company called USAFIS who mentioned they will send me a linked email so that i can complete my application but never received a linked email conforming receipt of my money. I am Bangladeshi in origin but residing in UK. Please let me know if there is anyway I can get my money back? I have paid 400 pounds.

A few months ago, I filled in an online inquiry form for what I thought was for more information. I was not sent more information instead I am sent one to 2 emails per week requesting I complete my registration and make payment. I am at the end of my tether because I have constantly tried using their unsubscribe link, sent angry e-mails and marked the address as SPAM which still arrives in my bulk inbox.

I am losing my mind over these e-mails and it makes me not want to pursue any further inquiries about living and working in the USA.
