With reference to the captioned subject consignment number, I am putting following lines which reflect the incompetency of DHL towards its fellow customers.

The parcel of 1kg which contains a “use clothes” was dispatched through DHL Riyadh, Saudia Arabia to Karachi.
Parcel of 1kg containing use cloths reached Karachi on October 8, 2009 and not delivered to the prescribed address.
After confirmation we have informed that our 1kg box (again which contain use cloths) is detain by Pakistan customs and they imposed USD $ 80 + PKR 16% GST duty against the value of USD $ 320, which was quoted by sender at Riyadh Airport for insurance claim purposes.
It is DHL’s responsibility to clear the consignment and deliver the same on timely basis on the provided address for which DHL is paid for, instead of guiding the customers how to collect?
Now the sender of this consignment arrived in Pakistan before the delivery of consignment, which reflects a dismal service from DHL Pakistan.
After a hectic discussion with Mr. Azhar Saleem (import Department) non cooperative, he told me that the parcel is in custom clearance, you can collect the same after 7:00 pm dated: November 25, 2009 after paying the duty of PKR 10, 000/-. Nonetheless, keeping in view the urgency of the matter I agreed to pay this amount as well.
I reached to DHL (Airport office) after driving 25km from Clifton to collect the parcel as advice by Mr.Azhar Saleem and waited there till 10:30pm and finally I have been informed that I have to pay the duty against the use clothes of PKR 16, 103/- instead of PKR 10, 000/-.


It is needless to mention the mental stress I have gone thru for just retrieving my used clothes. I have already invested my time, energy and cost of travelling to DHL already and am still not able to obtain my parcel. Kindly help me out in this regard or I shall contact other high level authorities for the help against despair and unethical behavior of DHL Pakistan towards me.
