Paid $900 for a low mileage (43k) 2001 Dodge V8 engine.
Inside of the engine looked like a 200k engine with inches of sludge.
My mechanic said it sure didnt look like a 43k engine
I did not ship it back due to the cost and assurance from ETW that it was as stated a 43k engine. (what a bunch of lies)
Now that it is installed it uses (not leaks) 2 quarts of oil on a 300 mile trip. And a freeze plug between the engine and transmission started leaking. It runs like a 200k engine!!!--This company misrepresented the engine they sold to me. My mechanic assures me that I was ripped off by Engine and Transmission World and I believe him. Dale in customer service is dragging his feet when I ask him for some sort of compensation. Faxed paperwork to him two weeks ago and had to refax it again today. If they lied about the first engine why should I trust them to send a replacement. And they expect me to pay the cost of removal and installation. I paid an extra $295 for a ELAST warranty.
----www.elastwarranty.com ----Hopefully they wont be the scam that Engine and Transmission world appears to be. contact me [email protected] if you had the same experience. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
