I am caught between a rock and a hard place
I bought warranty in 2008 for my 2003 chevrolet Avalanche, I read the policy and was very satisfied with what it had to offer and with the price. But then I realized when I filed my first claim it was denied. I then went back for a second claim and they denied that one too. So, then I realized that I was dealing with scam artist. I am so glad that I take very good care of my truck and that I did not need much service to it. When I finally went back to read the policy again, I finally realized that this policy wont do me any good if I were to have a some sort of failure. I then called to ask for a refund and was that the full refund would not be given because if the policy were in force beyond th 60 days then they would pro-rata the amount and something like 10% and also charge an administrative fee of 25.00.
I am caught between a rock and a hard place.

Warranty scam
If you sign up for this Extended Warranty you will be giving away from $1500 to $3000. I signed up only on the condition that I could cancel with 100% money back if I chose not to take it, after looking the warranty contract over. They tried to charge me a fee for canceling but I had them recorded and the sales person recorded that I could get a 100% no fee money back deal.
Upon getting the contract I noticed three glaring things that makes this warranty next to worthless.
First you have to put in this treatment or the warranty is voided and you get no money back. The treatment is like a Slick 50 treatment. Save thousands and buy the Slick 50 or other type treatment at your local auto store.
Next you have to maintain 3 month or 3000 mile vehicle oil changes and preventive maintenance and be able to document that you had it done religiously or they have an out and say your warranty is void account of you not keeping your preventive maintenance up.
Last and MOST TELLING. In the Warranty Contract definitions the term "Breakdown" for which they have to pay for does NOT INCLUDE Normal Wear. That means that if either USFidelis representative or some repair person says that the breakdown (transmission, air conditioning etc) was due to the age and mileage of the car and that the breakdown was due to normal wear then USFidelis will not pay.
Every repair tech that I spoke with said that they have never known USFidelis to pay for a breakdown because every breakdown they saw was always due to Normal Wear of the vehicle.
SAVE your money this is a ripoff. The chances that they will have an actual case that they would have to pay for and that they couldn't get out of would be 1/1000 or more.
If you want to see the Warranty Conract it will cost you the cancellation Fee that they somehow forget to tell people about when they sign them up.
