Awful service
Today the mailman didn't pick up my mail or deliver my mail because there was a car in front of my mailbox. The street in front of my house is a public road. There is nothing to keep someone from parking there. I think there should be a law against holding my mail or not picking up the letters to be sent as long as the flag is up. I would appreciate your input on this. not the first time.

Also some of my neighbors. By the way, it is not my car in the way. I park in the driveway.

Package left at the road
USPS left a package worth $200 at the end of my driveway when I was out of town. I have a locked gate. The package was too big to fit in the mailbox so the carrier decided it made sense to leave it on the ground 20 ft away from the mailbox next to the locked gate. I contacted the carrier. She apologized and she remarks that the package was gone the next day. I told her that it is quite obvious that it was stolen. The Crawfordville manager (Dwight Wells) was quick to comment that USPS is in no way responsible for the package being stolen. I filed a complaint. I was promised a follow up call. I never got one. I let USPS know that I am not going to use their services in the future unless I have no choice. I suppose this is just another example of why UPS and Fedex are doing well and USPS is doing poorly. I would urge anybody who reads this post to avoid USPS whenever possible. I have lost $200. Over the next 20 or 30 years, USPS will lose thousand of dollars of my business. I would urge anybody who reads this post to join with me and boycott USPS. It is simply not worth the risk.

slowest delivery to mankind
UGggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh... I FUCKIN hate USPS, they are the biggest dipshits to mankind... Guess what, I sold someone a textbook on ebay and get this, I mailed the goddamn thing on august 26th, and the book is still not there... For fuck sake... how hard is it to send someone a book in a timely manner... Cripes... this is crap... I will NEVER utilize their godawful services again. Stupid ass government employees. They need to hire people with cognitive delay like downs or autism, seriously those people would do a better job than those average fucktard postal workers... So now I can't make a good transaction on ebay, and I lost a customer because of the laziness and terrible work ethic among those dipshit usps employees. OMG, just the thought of sending a package in a timely manner is just toooo hard. IDIOTS!!!

Stolen Passport from Mail
The Venezuelan Consulate of San Francisco shipped my passport on Thursday, Aug. 27th, 2009 using a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope, en route to Los Angeles. It is now Sept. 3rd, one week later, well past the 5 day maxmimum period of Priority Mail delivery, and I do not have my passport. To make matters worse, I leave for South America the following Tuesday, Monday being a holiday. This essentially gives me one day to sort out my passport and visa situation, which is impossible. My vacation is ruined.

Please be very wary of sending passports via USPS. Even certified mail, delivery confirmation, or tracking does not safeguard you from the mail carriers from outright stealing your packages. Think about it, if you can take a passport without anyone knowing (or caring even if a complaint is issued), that's an extra several hundred bucks you can sell on the black market.

DO NOT TRUST USPS IF AND WHENEVER POSSIBLE. This is an urgent warning, please learn from my mistakes.

Carrier refused to to take outgoing mail
I was driving to the mailbox because I had an envelope that was too thick to fit on our outgoing slot on our bank of mailboxes when I saw a woman Mail Carrier delivering mail to a mailbox at another building. I asked if she would take my envelopes and she refused saying, "No. I'm done for the day." I asked if she wasn't going back to the Post Office barn to drop off her truck and she said, "There is another truck that comes around and picks up the mail during the day. You need to put it in the mailbox." I said, "I thought you could save me an 8 mile round trip to the mailbox." She said there was a mailbox right up on the corner and I informed her that it has been gone since February when they removed it. She said, "Well, I can't take it because I am done for the day." My reply was, "Well, there is a first time for everything." I will tell she was at the mailbox for the bank of town houses including 2105 Greenbriar Colony Dr. 77032. It was 08/25/09 around 6:15 PM. I hand oversized, but not overweight, packages to the mail carriers in my neighborhood all the time since they removed the big blue collection box 6 months ago. I use the outgoing mail slots regularly for the envelopes that will fit, but sometimes I have to mail something that is too thick to fit in the 1/2" wide hole, and the carriers have never refused me until today. Is this part of your decreased service to save money? I really need to know because I am required to send samples on an almost daily basis as part of my business. If they are not going to pick up the outgoing mail they should block off the slots or remove them. IF my packages don’t get picked up I will lose money, too. Our company uses the US MAIL 99% of the time for sending packages, regular, Priority and Express, and I would hate to have to switch to FedEx or UPS. Please let me know if it was just that one woman being snippy, or if it is anew practice of the USPS to not collect outgoing mail. I get different mail carriers in this neighborhood every few months and she is the 4th one I have seen since February. I think she needs some more training if nothing else, if she was mistaken about the policy of collecting outgoing mail. I am 54 years old and the carriers have always taken the outgoing mail with them when they were delivering on their routes. Sending my packges/letters back to sender!
I have been at my current address 10 months. I had been regularly getting my mail and packages. Now, all of a sudden, in the last weeek, the USPS has decided to send my mail back to the sender marked NOT DELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED. UNABLE TO FORWARD. WTF???? Why all of a sudden do I not live here? My guess is that it is a super stupid sub mail carrier or we have a new one who decides to be so noisy as to decide who lives here and who doesn't (as we have several different last names living here). We never had names on the front before and it was never a problem before - why is the USPS so dumb? How hard is it to put the mail with the matching addresses in the box? Sounds pretty easy to me. I am going to have to wait for this dumb mail carrier tomorrow to find out why the hell he isn't deliviering my stuff - I will have to try hard to yell at him. grr...

Lazy personnel
My delivery person is too lazy to get out of the mail truck. She jams packages into the mail box that are too big and will not come to the door to deliver anything that requires a signature. Two packages required tools to remove from the mail box.

MAILMAN REFUSES TO DELIVER TO *********
My mother resides in Bronx, New York and for the past several weeks, I have experienced numerous on-going problems with the delivery of FLAT RATE priority insured packages to my mother who resides at 765 COURTLAND AVE. I have contacted the 1-800-275-8777 in the past several weeks because the mailman consistently leaves a Delivery attempt notice (peach colored) PS form 3849 in her mail box when he has made NO effort/attempt to deliver the package to her *********. The reports have been elevated to the consumer affairs more than once.
The local Post Master supervisors have assisted in tracking previous packages however it boils down to the situation repeating itself again to where the mailman refuses to deliver any packages to the ********* (4th floor. It is of no significance to him if the letter is certified or the package is priority insured signature confirmation delivery. It’s been an extremely frustrating situation. If a re-delivery is arranged, the mailman repeats the same procedure of placing a 2nd Delivery Notice PS Form 3849 in my mother’s mail box.

I have been sending packages to my mother for years! The problem with packages not being delivered to her ********* just started in the beginning of July 2009

The last time the mailman came up to my mother’s ********* he intimidated her when he knocked with NO packages on hand to inform her “he's NOT authorized to deliver packages to her *********. “He's only supposed to RING the bell at the bottom of the building and she has to come downstairs!” My mother just listened and didn’t reply. She just informed my brother who passed the information to me when I called to follow-up on whether she had received the package I had mailed to her. This mailman behavior was totally unprofessional to say the least.
I am extremely disappointed with the USPS service I have received in the past few weeks and want to know if I may take any legal action, thanks!

Leaving packages at door
USPS service is too hood and too too ghetto. I live in apartment complex that is pretty decent, calm nice, and quiet. The demographic is 25-45 with asians, arabs, blacks and white. I provide that sort of background info to let the readers know that USPS leaves my packages outside my door in apartment complex. I don't feel comfortable with that method of service. Especially when the carrier rings the door bell and bounces. How professional is that? Ringing the door bell and hauling ass? I ordered a phone that was over $300 so this is why I am writing this complaint. You could have just stood there one extra second to see if someone is at the door.

USPS should give the receiver an option if they want they package left at the door. Is this how USPS operates?

I'm a black Man who is college educated but knows that usps hires nothing but niggas who barely made it outta highschool. Ghetto service to the fullest. Next time I receive a package through usps, I'm picking it up at the post office. They won't send me a damn thing anymore.

P.S. The chick who left my package at the door was some ol raggedy looking blue black broad that walked like a bird. I see why she work at USPS.

Awful experience
I sent a birthday gift package via priority mail for my niece in California and it's been missing for a month. I went to the post office and talked to the manager 2 weeks after the delivery date and filled out a form and she copied my receipt. I went there today and talked to the person, but she could not locate the form or the copy of my receipt. Her boss was too busy to talk to me and I was referred to a customer service department. This experience has been extremely upsetting and I can't trust the people working for USPS anymore.
