Quick to go legal but slow to respond
Based on my complaint sent on 27 Oct, I was informed by Diane of VVM to go into the City of Jhb offices to lodge a formal account query. Reason being is that I am not liable for this balance on the arrear rates & taxes account as it is registered under the Provincial Government's name and some wise person decided to link my ID number to this account-sounds more like Fraud! This was an error made by City of Jhb but due to the lack of responsibility, I need to sort it out to avoid any legal action. After 2 visits to the City of Jhb offices, i eventually lodged a query which has no timeline to sort out. I need to visit Land Transfers to speed up the process. In any event, I forwarded the reference number to VVM on 02 November to annotate their records so that so called Legal Action can be pended until sorted & received confirmation from Diane as well. However a few hours later, a Final notice was emailed to me calling for full repayment by 09 Nov, failing which legal action will be initated!!Addressed this email to Diane requesting an explanation-to date no response!!At this point I feel that VVM get in touch with their client, City of Jhb to resolve as I cannot be subjected to more abuse!!

System information not updated correctly
We received an SMS today advising we were being handed over for failure to make payment on our City of Johannesburg Account. When I called the call centre to query this, as our account is very much up to date, I was to discover that the bill was actually for a property we sold back in 2006 and the sms should have been sent to the new owner. On their system they have all of the new owners details but with our cell phone number - and not the cell phone number we had back in 2006 either! How many other people are getting incorrect information sent to them?
