To whom it may concern
I am writting to you regarding my insurance for central heating. I have been covered by your self for over 10yr now and during this time I have only had one call out. However on the 22nd Dec 2010 my hot water and heating stop working and I was left without neither. I immidately lodged a claim. This was only the begining of a disatified service. i was left waiting for the whole day and received nocall regarding an engineer call out. I called back which resulted in more than three return call, the operator took the wrong number. Begining of my fustration. There are five of us in the family including two very young children. I was clearly told that no engineer would come out until after christmas, gien that the weather conditions were poor the house was very cold I requested for options. Unfortuately I could not get an engineer and had to rely on Homeserve to instruct some one to come out. Nothing transpired I repeatedly had to cal even to the extent to speak to a manager. I was not put through. i suffered from a serve chest infection and had to seek squatting in a friends house to protect my self and the children form the freezing weather. however when new year was over I repeatedly called and so did my partner when eventually an engineer did come out he ordered the wrong part adding further to my stress and inbetween the appointmnets WERE cancelled as he could not make it due to running late re his other appointments. Eventually a week ago the heating is now working, but is tripping I have had to arrange for for another engineer to come out, but this too took for ever toget through the phones. I am asking to be compensated and if i am not iwill take this matter further. I do hope I get a response as i have googled and have noted that coustmers have not been pleased withthe service. i will be seeking to cancel if the reply or compensation is not prompt.
