Service, over the years, has degraded to sub-standard, and negligent. At one point, in the last few years, I was passed off from the Doctor (Ravi Bhalla MD, FACR) to the PA (Michael D. Peterik). Once that happened, I felt the neglect level raise sharply. My last two appointments were the last that I was willing to tolerate. The first of the two visits was on July 30, 2009. On that date, I discussed resuming a previous treatment plan (Orencia). I was advised that I would have to RE-qualify, with my new insurance provider. This entailed blood screening, and X-rays (which I had completed that day). I was scheduled for a "follow-up" appointment on August 28, 2009. I discovered that, during the subsequent twenty (20) work days, NOTHING was done. I had expected that, since we had specifically discussed it, I would be receiving an Orencia infusion that day. However, Mr. Peterik seemed completely surprised by this. AND, had not submitted the proper information to my insurance provider, and therefore had NO prior authorization in place to allow me to receive the care that I desired. When confronted with our previous discussion, and my expectations, Mr. Peterik simply stammered and back-peddled, and promising to make the necessary calls, darted out of the room. Then, to add insult to injury, he sent HIS assistant in to run interference with me, and get me to agree to wait for treatment. I was promised action, and/or a confirmation call, ASAP. As of this date (September 08, 2009), NO calls have been received. Due to this lack of responsibility, and caring, I am no longer returning to this office.
Sincerely,
