After seeing ValuMag’s attractive magazine rates on the Internet, I place an order for a $40 two-year magazine subscription via the web on March 13 as a birthday present for a nephew.
The postcard he received said delivery would be on May 27. The magazine was never delivered. My sister-in-law went back and forth with their customer service by e-mail. The e-mail string shows many excuses, most about the publisher (!), with additional promises from ValueMag for delivery by July, then by September.
My sister-in-law reluctantly brought this to my attention and now my credit card company says a refund cannot be guaranteed because the problem exceeds six months. Based on the web reviews (which I should have checked first!) this is a common tactic of theirs. Do not order from these thieves!
