For some reason valuemax took $19.95 out of my back account last month. I called my bank and they told me who was responsible for taking the money out. I then called Valuemax who told me that i had an account with them, and i did not sign up for anything i dont know where they got my info from but they somehow were able to take my my money. The man assured me that i would get my money back and the was like 3 weeks ago and i still have not recieved my money. Someone needs to put a stop to these people who are illegally accessing peoples personal information.

I noticed that my account had been charged $19.95 to a company ValueMax listed 888-205-2257 CT. I called the number and spoke to Natalie #700001. When I inquired about the charge, she told me that I had enrolled in a membership as of August 2008 when I visited the website Intellius.com. At the bottom was a box that if not unchecked would enroll me for a 7 day trail period, after which I would be charged monthly if I did not cancel it. I originally logged onto Intellis to purchase a product/service only; I never authorized a membership. When I called back, they repeated the same information as before. I told them that I did not see any e-mails confirming any charges, only the one from Intelius. I was told that a separate e-mail was sent out with the membership information and charges, which I did not find. They charged me what amounted to 7 unauthorized charges. I argued with them and they said that they would credit back 2 of the charges.
I feel as though both these sites are connected in this and are involved in fraud. I intend to gather up the information and submit to the attorney general's office to look into. I also intend on contacting my bank. This sounds like a class action lawsuit to put a stop to this.

This just happened to us, two charges for 19.95 plus an over limit fee. We had never heard of Valuemax until this happened. We are trying to get the credit card company to remove the charges.

Unauthorized charge to my account. I had no idea what this was when I looked at my Bank statement, I have since filed a complaint with my bank. I called 1-888-205-2257 and reached a VERY bored operator. She said the amount would be refunded to my account within 2 days. I told her I have filed a dispute of charge with my bank. If I did not see the refund in my account THEY would be hearing from my bank AND attorney.

Come to find out this is a scam! It is automatically added to the bill of another purchase I made on line.
