I have Been attending KC VAMC for my medical needs since i have lived in KCMO. I was seeing a pschiatrist for sever depression because of an on the job injury, heart atttack, and being incarcerated for a horrible crime i did not committ that the KCPD has charged me for. His response to my problems were you are just complaining, and why dont you go get a part time job to support you. I cant believe what was said. I then was checked into 2 Rivers hospital for severe depression and they had my psychiatrist changed to another VA psychiatrist and the first words out of her mouth was why did you leave the other doctor? I told here that 2 Rivers thought that he was not for my best intrest in treatment and she instantly started treating me with a hateful attitude, then called my house and told my wife my business about my appointment with her and she will not see me, and she said no, I will not write you a letter stating me not being fit for duty and that I can work. The postal service is in the process of retiring me and she says i can still do the job i was doing. I am tired of fooling with the VA. I called washington to file complaint and i just keep getting the run around. I was denied a female psychologist from the VA because of the wrongful charge against me. The VA convicted me without being convicted of the crime... I would like to know who do I really talk to to get something done because obviously the VA is a joke!!! They pretend they are helping you all the while just collecting a check. I have serious issues that I need help with. I served my country risked my life like every other veteran we deserve better.
