On 3/16/08 I went to Verizon Wireless [a corporate store] and upgraded my pos cell phone to the blackberry curve at after my 2 year contract was up. I was and still am 17 years old [d.o.b. 11/12/91] . without even asking if i 18 the sales rep speeded through the whole process. he let me use my fathers $100 off new every two upgrade as well as charge his account 70 dollats and add a $29.99 monthly charge for a data service. they also added a month free trial of tethering service which apparently charged my father 30 bucks a month [though they credited this back to his account] my father lives in maryland and i in Massachusetts so i called the service center and they said that i would need to go to a corporate store to work it out. when i was visiting him we went to a go wireless store [we though it was a verizon store haha]- they guy called and told us that we would have to go to a corparate store because he wasn't able to take the phone back finally last weekend [he is in mass visiting] we went to verizon [where they sold me the phone] and they said that they needed to talk to the store manager and to come back in a couple days. 4 days later we come back and was told by a shift manager that he talked to the store manager and they had to do an investigation which would take up to two weeks for fruad. he wouldn't give the store managers number we will not recieve a call when the investigation is complete... etc...
i am on the account as a manager for the reason that my father lives so far away and in any event that i need to replace my phone under warrenty i can though i am a minor i was told this was fine- i am just not a full access manager.
now i am told that i am a full access manager and the only way that comes to be is if i am 18. never have i ever said i was 18 to verizon to get access to the account. the guy never asked me if i was, never asked my name- just the password for the account.
so they are investigating if i was a minor and i just want to cancel the upgrade contract that i signed [with out any verification that i was of age] - they should have to make sure you are who you say you are and are of age before they let you do anything that is not my fault they didn't do so.

legally as a minor i have the right to cancel this contract and they are trying to keep my in this is rediculous and its their fault they did not verify anything. i still even have the reciept
