Scammed from a Loan Modification
I started a Loan Modification with Fidelity Law Group back in September of 2009 and to this date which is now May 3, 2010 I did not receive any paper work or information in regards to my modification. At the very beginning of the process I would call and leave a message because I never got a real person. Either later that day or the next day someone would call me and say "We are talking to your bank and the negotiations are going well, we should have more information for you by next week." Then little by little they would stop returning my messages until I went all of March and April of 2010 that I did not hear a word from Fidelity Law Group. This situation had put me in a bind only because by now my bank was going to auction off my house, and I had no idea what I was going to do. This so called company came to my house and said "For $3, 000 we could get your house loan modified with a better interest rate and a much lower monthly payment." I don't know if you want to call it desperate or gulable but I gave them the $3, 000 and I was confident that Fidelity Law Group was going to get me a loan modification. It is now May 3, 2010 and I have no idea where Fidelity Law Group is, I have tried to call them and left messages at every phone number I have. I have left e-mails with a lot of their staff to no avail. Not only am I out $3, 000 but I was forced to file Bankruptcy so the bank would not take my home away from me and my family. That means that I have to spend more of my hard earned money on something that should of been done in the first place. Fidelity Law Group should be ashamed of themselves, and the only thing I want from them now is my $3, 000 back. The reason for this is because upon further review Fidelity Law Group did not do one damn thing to even start a loan modification for me.
