I am owner of Maruti Versa bearing registration number-UP-15 S –2475.
Since its purchase in January 2004, I am always getting its service/repair from authorized Maruti Dealer namely M/s Tanya Automobiles Ltd. Meerut (UP) and always used MGP purchased from them.
On 31st December 2009 I have sent the car to the above dealer with the complaint of engine oil leakage and some absurd sound being heard from the engine of the car.
After examining the vehicle we were told that the sound is coming from Camm Shaft as it is worn out due to non- lifting of oil so the Camm Shaft & the complete head of the engine is to be replaced accompanied with engine overhauling and we were given a verbal estimate of about Rs. 60, 000/- to Rs. 70, 000/-.
We refused to incur this heavy expense as there is no fault on our part .Oil pump
assembly(16100M77A30) was recently replaced on 28/5/09 and we have been maintaining the car regularly as per their advise and getting all the work done in their workshop only
Some days later they called us and told that the company engineer had visited their workshop and examined our car and as per his advice over hauling of the engine is not required and they suggested us to replace the head by another head of an old rejected car from the scrap market and a day later they informed us about the name, address, and phone no. of the scrap dealer from where they told us to buy the second hand head for Rs. 10, 000/-
We are shocked by the divergent opinion given by them and we are in a stage of dilemma what to do. It appears that your above mentioned dealer wants to get rid of us by repairing the vehicle by substandard means and to hide the mistake which was committed at the time of replacement /fitment of the oil pump.

You are kindly requested to look into the matter and direct your dealer to solve our problem at his/your end or in alternative suggest us what to do.
We are not in a position to spend such a huge amount of money for no mistake on our part but because of gross negligence on the part of your dealer.
