As the founder of Redshield America News Network (RANN) fighting for Veteran rights and police corruption, I learned about the places where the law's protection does not reach. Law enforcement rarely took violence against Veterans with PTSD seriously. Public education and lobbying was usually required before the legal system took notice. When police officers perpetrated the violence, the likelihood of any legal remedy diminished significantly. Limited or non-existent legal protection against Veterans with PTSD violence represents a continuing challenge for the ideal of equal justice under law.
As a fellow Veteran with PTSD, I learned about the law's role in not understanding or protecting Veterans with PTSD. All indications are that Redshield America News Network (RANN) campaign has increased public awareness. We still hope (RANN) will enhance Veterans with PTSD consciousness to law makers and expose police corruption.
