Thanks for the advice & links very useful "buying from China" especially the link to the Lawyer from China.
Another website to add to the never ending list is:
Vigorg.com its a scam!
I have purchased goods online for which I never received. The only payment method available is via bank transfer for which you as the buyer are unprotected. They claim paypal is available but its only a con had to be a gold VIP member. Another con is that your goods got held up at customs and a customs levy should be paid by you in order to release the goods, then they con you into sending more money for further purchases which would then cover the levy.
I "purchased" via a website http://www.vigorg.com/ a laptop to which to which i made an international bank transfer to the Industrial & Commercial Bank in China account number 6222021714003260556 and have not received the goods.
I have contacted the local police and have a case number CR 507 88/10/8 but they look to my bank to sort out the problem and my Bank says because I authorised the payment its technically not fraud so they will not pursue the investigation.
I did make initial contact with the Industrial & Commercial Bank in China their reply was that its a police matter & they would co-operate with the police.
