I received a loan from them with a deduction date of Jan. 13, 2006. I faxed in my extension sheet on Jan. 10, 2006 saying I didn't have direct deposit so could they push up my loan payment date. They called and said I had to fax my paystub showing I didn't have direct deposit. I faxed the sheet in, and I was told my deduction date would be Jan. 17, 2006.
On Jan. 14 I discovered they had tried to deduct $190. which caused a non sufficient fund fee. I left a message over the weekend regarding the mistake. I received a call on Mon. Jan. 16 and was told that they would not try to deduct any money until the next scheduled date of Jan. 27, 2006.
On Jan. 17 they tried to deduct $190. which caused another non sufficient fund fee. When I called I was told that I never faxed in the paystub. I told them I had, and I had proof (the actual document I faxed and a log sheet of faxes that showed the date and the number of pages faxed). The assistant, Melinda, said she never received the documents and had called my work and left me a message. After checking with my 5 co workers, none of them had talked to her or received any messages from her.
They also had a copy of my paystub since December, 2005 when I originally requested a loan. I spoke to a manager who was very helpful. She said they would refund the NSF fees.
Jan. 18th, the $48. refund was in my account as promised, along with another attempted deduction of $190.00!! I called again, and left a message with the manager as well as faxing a letter stating they had told me no more deductions until Jan. 27, 2006 and that they now owe me another $24. NSF fee as well as the $19.00 stop payment fee I had to initiate so they would stop taking out money that they told me they wouldn't do.
I want to report them, who do I call? The Federal Trade Commission? The District Attorneys office?
