I had recently visited the resort Villa Del Palmar Flamingos. Under the high pressure sales presentation with misleading information from the sales representative, I signed the purchase contract.
Since I am visiting during a cruise, I was not able to find out the details until I got back home. After I read the details on the contract, I discovered that some of the promise made by the sales representative are not listed. They mentioned about the unlimited usage in the summer week as long I pay for the maintenance. Besides, I found out a lot of complaints about their practice. I become worried and then decide to cancel it.
After calling UVC, the representative only asked me to follow the contract instruction about cancellation. They didn't provide any further help or instruction.
I found the cancellation clause in the contract
"Member has the right to cancel the membership within 5 business days following the next business days after its execution"
I signed on Dec 30, 2010. The next business day after execution is Dec 31. It means that I can cancel within 5 business days after Dec 31 which is Jan 7. BTW, Dec 31 is a federal holiday too in US.
After tons of phone call to UVC, Villa group over 1 month, I finally got hold of the responsible person Joshua. Unfortunately, he declined my cancellation because he said that I sent in the request 1 day late. During my phone call with him, he does not address the issue professional at all. He was very rush and said that I could post anywhere. He believed he is right. I asked him whether he has read through the case that he promised me a week ago to process. He didn't . He was too busy and he had a baby last week. I understand that he 's busy with his life but someone else should help. I don't feel that he was listening at all.
i am very upset and frustrated about the response and customer service that I received.
