over - debiting from my account
I got a cellphone contract from Virgin Mobile in June 2010 - the phone had speaker problems and I took it in the first time. They sent it back and said they upgraded the software. When it came back I had the same problem and I sent it in again. they sent it back to me and said they couldnt find any problem in the phone. The phone continued to have problems and when I requested them to change it they said I must send it for repairs 3 times until they consider giving me a new one. I complained again through Hello Peter this year and they offered me an upgrade of a specific group of phones. I refused it and decided to cancel the contract - they gave me a cellphone buy out of R1 241.00 which I paid off on the 8th of March and updated them. They advised me that my contract will be cancelled 2 months later because they needed to deduct the airtime I have used previously; which I didn't have a problem with. I only realised this week that in April - Virgin forgot to deduct their airtime money of R494.00 and then in May they tried to double debit the previous amount and the then current which was a total of R1 494.00; this amount reversed because I have never allocated so much towards Virgin Mobile. So suddenly I was in two months arrears and with a current and final outstanding amount of R597.00. I have been calling them to find out how much and why April was not deducted and collections or billing can not give me an answer. Today R500.00 was deducted twice from my account and they will also deduct R597.00 on the 1st of June. How can this be allowed.
No one consulted me about this money that has gone off and this is not fair that they justify their own mistake and take money that is no longer allocated to them but to other accounts. Now I'm gonna be in arrears with my other accounts because of them. I don't have a problem with making an arrangement with them to catch up the month they missed but this is not allowed. My account is not a playground or open for debits to go off unauthorised

RUDE & LOUSY customer service!!!
I have had Virgin Mobile for about three months now and I really like it until tonight when I was trying to top up my service!!! I have been having trouble with my debit card because it is a new one, so I ask the customer service rep to hold on just one second while I get my husbands card and not even one minute later I hear him screaming "Ma'am Ma'am" and I pick up the phone and he very rudely said "I dont have time to wait on you! "Now is it me or does this company and the people that work for it have jobs because of ME and EVERYONE else that continues to have service with them. As hard as jobs are to come by these days you would think people would be a little more patient but hell what do I know right because not only was that rep rude to me but then I spoke to his boss and she simply said "Ma'am I dont know what you want me to do about it!" Like DUH!! fix my shit so I can have phone service!!! Had straight talk brfore this and am deff. going back!!!

overcharging
THE ONLY THING VIRGIN MOBILE ARE GOOD AT IS REMOVING YOUR CASH FROM YOUR ACCOUNT
7 MONTHS STRAIGHT THEY OVER CHARGED US THEN WE HAD TO PAY TO PHONE THEM TO GET OUR OWN MONEY BACK WE NOW CANCELED THE CONTRACT AND WANT TO GO TO COURT THEY HAD THE BRASS NECK TO EMAIL US A HOW WE DOING SURVEY TODAY VIRGIN ARE THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD

waiting about a month for item
I HAD A PAY LO PHONE TO START OFF WITH AND THAT JUST STOPPED WORKING. SO I PAID ABOUT 100.00 DOLLARS FOR MY NEW PHONE. TWO MONTHS LATER MY PHONE SCREEN WENT OUT. I CALLED COSTOMER SERVICE ALMOST EVERYDAY AND WITH NO HOPE. I HAVE HAD 3 TRACKING NUMBER AND STILL NO PHONE/ THE COSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY BAD AS WELL. I CANT BELIEVE I AM STILL WAITING ON MY PHONE TO COME AND I HAD A WARRENT ON MY PHONE. I TALKED TO A MANAGER BUT HE WAS NO HELP. I KEPT MY END OF THE AGREEMENT AND I PAID MY BILL. MY CONTACT STATES IF I PAY MY BILL I WILL RECIEVE 30 DAYS OF PHONE SERVICE. I WAS LIED TO AND CHEATED ON IN MY BOOK. MY PHONE IS CONNECTED TO MY JOB. IF I CANT GET TO THE PHONE QUICK ENOUGH, I MISSED OUT ON MONEY BECAUSE I CANT SEE MY SCREEN. I CAN HEAR THAT SOMEONE TEXT ME BUT I CANT SEE THEM. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I AM STARTING TO HATE VIRGIN MOBILE AND I WISH I COULD HAVE KEPT ALL MY MONEY I EVER SPENT. PLEASE HELP ME BECAUSE THEY SURE CANT!!!

Forced money off my account won't refund
I ordered a phone from Virgin Mobile with overnight shipping. When the phone was not received in a week, I called and cancelled the order. The money was credited back to my account approximately a week later. Then after another 2 weeks passed, Virgin Mobile shipped the phone and forced the amount out of my prepaid Visa account, overdrawing my balance. I immediately returned the phone and was told it would take 3-5 days to refund my $174.00. That was 2 weeks ago and they still have not refunded me my money.

Worst customer service than the Mafia
Virgin Mobile billed me three onthly charges in just twelve days. Trying to contact customer service was an exercise in futility. Telephone contacts are routed to India and Bangladesh with the usual insincere politeness from people hiding behind false names like "Bob" and "Amy." All of them have the power to say NO. Asking for someone with the power to say YES, as well as NO, adds fifteen minutes to the call. The average call is an exercise in stonewalling, promising to "take care of it as soon as we get off the phone."

Starting with false names, the level of honesty goes down from there. The average length of a phone call was half an hour and always ended with being placed on hold and then being disconnected. I had eight of these half-hour stonewalling with no result. Stonewalling and lying are Virgin Mobile company policy. Do not expect fast and honest service.

Also sent were five emails and, as requested, a fax listing the false charges. Their corporate approach is to simply wear you down so you will give up and leave the money on the table. Fortunately, I had done the transaction through PayPal. They take a VERY dim view of Virgin Mobile's shenanigans and pursued them with vigor. PayPal pecked away at them and first got one false payment refunded, then the other two.

I now have phone service with PureTalk. They are straightforward and have HELPFUL and HONEST customer service here in the US. Their unlimited plan is $39 a month...no strings. Virgin Mobile's similar plan was $60. I would never have switched if it were not for the deceitful and dishonest practices that mark this company. It's company policy.

Broken services
i purchase a telelphone from Virgin Mobile, within 2 weeks the phone started going haywire. I contacted Virgin Mobile and they sent out a replacement phone. Upon recieving it I tried to activated threw their tech support. i was informed that the phone sent to me was already issued to another customer and they could not activate it. I should wait 72 hours for engineer dept to find out what went wrong. It has been almost 3 weeks with multiple calls to virgin mobile with no Help. the keep telling me they waiting on the engineers to find out what was wrong with the phone. Still no word and no information. I even told Virgin mobile to just refund my purchase price and keep the $120.00 paid on the air time, they refuse to do this, still insisting i wait on the engineering dept to contact me. I feel as if i was robbed. Not only did I PAY 200.00 FOR THE PHONE, BUT SINCE THEN HAVE PAID 120.00 IN AIRTIME CHARGES. I am being threatened with losing my job because their is no way on contacting me for assignments. Will someone please advise me of how to tackle this company and get my money back. Their customer service is so untrained and rude & cannot help in resolving any issues.Their need to be some kind of Class Action Lawsuit against this COmpany.

internet not working
my daughter has used virgin mobile prepaid phones for yrs, i got her a $163 prepaid phone in october 2010. the bundle included use of the internet, she didnt have problems till march of 2011 the internet quit working, she called them, they gave her some excuse and said it would be back on in about 6 days, 6 days past, no internet, i called they gave me another excuse, and the advisor was from a foreign country and i couldnt understand him at all, so 6 more days past, by this time i am sick and tired of the run around, they said an email would be sent to her phone in 3 days to let her know the internet is working, she got the text saying that something was restored and that she should reset her phone, she did that and all her stuff was wiped out, no contacts, no ring tones that i paid for, no pics, nothing, so i called them back, got the run around again this time they said it would be 24-72 hours before the internet is working, so 6 more days past now, i called them again, the 888-322-1122 number is in the PHILLIPIENS! and i asked to speak to someone in the USA and she refused to connect me to the USA so i hung up, so, VIRGIN MOBILE IS A VERY TERRIBLE COMPANY TO USE FOR PREPAID PHONES, I AM VERY DISSAPPOINTED
