Fraud
Visiting Angels of Ocean County / Toms River in NJ sent unlicenced home health aids with criminal records without finger prints to care for my father with brain cancer while he was paralyzed resulting in a current New Jersey Attorney General Investigation to fine with penalty owner Lori with violation of "The Consumer Fraud Act". I covered every shift sometimes up to 22 hours per. day because something just wasn't right! After giving information to the Franchise who agreed to help me in this matter, they abandoned me like all the rest in this industry. The company billed us overtime and for over $40, 000.00 for illegal and unlicenced home health aides with criminal records. Lori sold the company to two other gentlemen who are now aware of her offense via the franchise owner Visiting Angels National.

Failure to provide care
Company representative inidicated company guarantees same care provider for 3 months after family/client interviews and selects careprovider. Careprovider came into home, did not adhere to written care instructions about the care of an elderly client with Alzheimer's disease. After 4 days, received call that the care provider would need to be replaced "so sorry, sometimes this happens". Demanded payment despite not adhering to written care instructions/contractual agreement to maintain same careprovider for 3 months. Changing routines/careproviders for patients with Alzheimer's disease is the cause of catastrophic reactions depending on the stage of the disease.
