Refusing to refund products returned
I too ordered Vital Acai thinking I was being charged only for shipping and handling charges for their so called free sample. When I placed the order there was no mention nor agreement by me for additional charges to me credit card, only the sample shipping and charges. Their was no bill and no receipt nor information included with the shipment, only the product. Since the product did not work as they guaranteed; I returned unopenned the next three shipments, marked refused and not wanted. I was unaware that they were charging my credit card $86.00 per shipment, even though I was refusing to accept the product. Since I did not agree to the additional shipments, I was returning them. Now, they are telling me I can not be refunded my money, my only option is to accept the 3 shipments which they sent and I refused.

fraud , cheating , scam
Hi all,

I am another victim of this scam, I ordered for the trail but never got the "product" only when the trail ended and having my Credit Card Charged, in addition the bottle was empty and shipped from China with bad packaging.

I already reported this to the authorities in the UAE and the matter is currently under investigation to blacklist the supplier and prevent others from this scam.

It seems that these operations are operated by a few scammers that seek fast money and run. So people, make sure when u see the Vital Acai from email <[email protected]> [email protected] avoid it.

Unauthorized charges
Received an email offering weight reducing pills. I accessed the internet, it has the name and picture of Oprah intimating that it is recommended by her, so of course I thought that it is a legitimate and reputable company and I ordered the free introductory sample, giving my credit card for the postage. I was most surprised when after 15 days my credit card was charged some $US 68, but I paid putting it down as my payment for not being more careful.

To my surprise some 3 weeks later I received an email signed John Harris, advising that I am again being charged 75 US dollars for my continued membership. I have straight away answered that I do not want further product, but received no reply. The next day I have sent another email, which came back with the message 'The email account that you tried to reach is disabled'. I then phoned the phone number given but was only able to leave a message. I even sent an email through the 'contact us' provision on their website, but no reply.

Today I saw that my credit card was debited with the above amount.

I am really surprised that Oprah has given her name to such a scam. I wonder if she knows.

QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES
This company advertised Vital Acai on the internet (MSN.com). They offered a trial offer for $4.95. The link did not specify any additional conditions.

I entered the necessary information and the product was sent. With the product was an enclosure stating that if I did't like the product it could be returned with no additional charges, otherwise they would bill by credit card monthly for $78.91 plus shipping and handling of $4.95. Surprise, Surprise!

I received the product on December 2 and sent it back registered December 3,
without opening the product. This scam never mentioned the above on the internet. You only find out about it with an enclosed notice.

They received the package on December 6 at 10:24 am. On December 8, they still billed my American Express for $78.91. On December 17 they credited my account for $59.18. The difference was called a restocking fee, even though I never received the product for $78.91.

When I called to protest they said all returned items were subject to a restocking fee. When I called their attention to their notice that the trial offer was excluded and that I never received any additional packages, they countered with that it was not returned in the required 15 days from date of order. Another missing item not on the web site, but only in the notice.

They processed the order on November 15. I didn't get it until December 2.
There is no way it could have been returned in time. It took 3 calls and one to a supervisor without any satisfaction.

I contacted American Express and explained the problem. You could always count on American Express. They did a credit to my account right on the telephone.

I was probably not the only one scammed by this company.
Avoid this company at all costs they are nothing but a bunch of scam artists.

Charging credit card without sufficent notice
I decided to try a free trial plus 4.95 shipping handling of Vital Acai by Supreme Brands. First my account was charged 44.95 and I had to call them about it. They said that I ordered the green tea to go with it too which I didn't. They said I checked a box or something. Apparently the box is already checked and isn't very noticeable. The next time I was charged something was just a day or two ago. I was looking online at my credit card account and see this charge for 78.91! They said it's only a fifteen day trial and that it says so on the site. It's only a small link at the very bottom of the page saying terms and conditions. It's not noticeable AT ALL ! The only thing that catches your eye is RISK FREE TRIAL in giant letters across the web page. I called Supreme Brands and they said they canceled the order and I wouldn't be charged anymore but I had to wait at least 15 minutes before someone got on the phone with me. I think Vital Acai / Supreme Brands is a very sneaky, dirty company and I will never try anything by them again!
