My experience of this company is similar to the many others on this board.
I notices a banner advertisement on the Hotmail website, saying something like
"Obey one rule...Judy's experience...as seen on GMTV etc. etc".
I gave my card details for a trial pack of the two products - £3.95 each. A week later I received the two trial packs. By email, I also cancelled any future subscriptions to the product. A couple of weeks later when I needed money to go on my holiday, I found to my horror that over £200 was taken from my account!!
Fortunately, paypal were involved, somehow, and payment was taken from a card I had not authorised with Paypal, so they refunded the money. My bank also changed my card.
I thought that was the end of it. No such luck!!
On 28th June, two payments of £74 = £148 were taken from my account, by ACAI BERRY in Cyprus. I immediately phoned my bank and reported it as fraud, as I had not given ACAI BERRY my details. Fortunately, the bank refunded my money.
I thought that was the end of it again! No such luck!!
I checked my bank account last week and saw that a further two payment totallying £148 were taken from my account.
Again, I reported it to the bank, but this time was told by my bank that this was a merchant dispute, as VIV3LABS had passed my details to ACAI BERRY, which they said I had agreed to in the small print of my initial order!! The bank told me to my further horror, that because my card is a cheque guarantee card, payment could have been set on that first debit to continue taking payments for up to 6 years!! the bank say the only real way of stopping it is by closing my account and opening up a new bank account.
Whilst I was in my bank branch yesterday, the manager very kindly telephoned VIV3LABS and asked what was going on, why my account continued to be debited even though I had cancelled. The suspicious adviser from VIV3LABS confirmed that my account was cancelled on 1st July and said that he knew nothing about ACAI BERRY. He refused to give his address or allow my bank manager to speak to his supervisor. There is no address on either of the websites.
I have never in my life been caught up in such a scam and fraud and there seems to be no way of bringing these fraudsters to justice.
Can anyone help?
